Story
Matilda is a sweet senior girl with the most charming beagle face and a heart just as lovely. She’s Matilda the Thrilla when it comes to winning people over, greeting everyone with gentle affection and easygoing charm. She enjoys the company of calm dogs, walks nicely on leash, and settles beautifully in a home. Matilda is ready to enjoy the good life—strolls, soft beds, and time with her people—making her a wonderful, steady companion for someone looking for a truly easy and lovable friend. Golden Years Companion: Because senior pets deserve all the love in the world, this animal’s adoption fee is completely WAIVED! We never want an adoption fee to stand in the way of a senior dog enjoying their golden years surrounded by care and comfort. All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati! To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match. About Us: Cincinnati Animal CARE proudly serves Hamilton County’s humane society needs, dog warden, and animal control services. We help keep people and pets together and connect strays with future families.

Story
Tombstone may sound like a tough guy name, but this petite little booger is more “cute as a button” than cowboy outlaw. He’s got those houndish good looks that practically demand a camera roll full of selfies, and he's a hilarious mix of chaotic energy and sweet cuddliness. He is potty-trained and loves toys, treats, car rides, and being loved on by his humans. Tombstone is adorably mischievous and curious. He is happiest when he's playing with his human and dog friends or frolicking in a big backyard where he can sniff to his heart's content. He is a playful, sweet little sidekick who’s equal parts cozy and silly. Basically, he’s proof that good things come in compact, wiggly packages. All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Story
Danica is an almost 8-year-old, 30 lb beagle mix with big brown eyes who just loves kisses, scratches and cuddles and being close to her people. Her superpowers include being a fast and eager learner, loving all people everywhere, and getting along great with other dogs and her sister cat. She loves to just explore the outdoors and sniff around still. She’s good on a leash. In terms of house training, she’s does good but sometimes can’t make it through the night. With more regularly scheduled potty breaks I think this can be fixed. She loves to love on you and her people and to be rewarded for a good job! Some of her favorite things are her kongs (stuffed with peanut butter). If you're looking for a loving companion who will greet you and other of your four legged companions with full body kisses every time you walk in the door and loves spooning and snuggling at night and at naptime, she might be your perfect match. Danica is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

Story
Meet the cutest gal on the block with the best smile, Lucinda! Lu is a 4.5 year old hound, boxer mix who loves her people, including kids, and is full of exuberance. She is also only a medium girl at 45 lbs— the perfect size in our eyes! She came into rescue at 6 months old & was adopted, but was returned 3 years later because the adopter was having a baby. Sweet Lucinda did nothing wrong, & she’s looking for a forever, loving family this time around!  Lucinda loves playing with energetic dog friends after slow meets & is working on manners (she can get a tad bit excited for some hehe)! She would love an active home where she can go on adventures with her people— a favorite of hers is hiking! A family that gives her lots of belly rubs? She says, “yes please!” This wiggly girl is healthy & ready to find her forever home! She is house trained, crate trained, & knows basic commands! She is so smart & is ready to continue learning in a forever home to show a family just how amazing she is!March 7, 2026, 3:29 pm
