Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. Stunning ARNOLD is a sweet timid boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a beagle/brittany mix. He's around 2 years old and fully grown at 26 pounds. Arnold has been with us about a month, decompressing in his foster home. It's taken him a bit of time to figure out that he's safe and people are kind. He's come a long way and is ready to find his furever home. If you're looking for a dog who will immediately jump in your lap and kiss you all over the moment you meet, Arnold isn't the dog for you. But if you are patient and willing to spend a day or two earning his trust, he will love you with all of his heart. Arnold needs a calm home with a friendly, confident dog who will help him navigate his new life. He's housebroken, crate trained and fine with kitties. He requires a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Arnold, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Arnold at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
