Story
Meet Bagel the Beagle! This girl is six years old and is quite the chunk, weighing in around 40 lbs. She is ready to work on her summer body by going for walks around the neighborhood and exploring her new home! Bagel is a sweet and friendly girl, happy to waddle up to any and all humans to receive some love. She is fostered with other small dogs and does well with them, playing on occasion but mostly just hanging out. She is true to her breed and absolutely loves to explore using her nose. Once she has sniffed everything she possibly can, she loves to chew on a bone or flop over on her side to take a nap. Bagel does not prefer to be in a crate but does well left out when her foster mom is not home. She doesn't get into anything and either snoozes on the couch or watches out the window. For a beagle, Bagel is shockingly quiet, so far only barking on occasion! She is working on potty training, going regularly outside but also utilizing puppy pads indoors. She absolutely loves people and wants to be by your side at all times! She will make sure to find her way to you if you happen to be in another room. She does well on a leash and would love to go on short walks to help her shed some extra pounds. Bagel is a wonderful dog that cannot wait to find a home to settle into. If you are looking for your new best friend, apply for Bagel today! Bagel is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Ms. Mam is a gentle soul wrapped in a charming, beagle-like package and powered mostly by kindness and snacks. She’s a mature lady with an easygoing outlook on life. No rush, no fuss, just quiet companionship and cozy naps. Her hearing isn’t what it used to be, which only adds to her peaceful charm. She’s perfectly content soaking up love, lounging in a sunny spot, and enjoying the calm side of life. Ms. Mam has diabetes mellitus and will require lifelong treatment, including insulin injections twice daily and a special diet. She would also likely do best in a home without cats. All this precious girl really asks for is a little love, a warm place to rest, and a home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and care. Golden Years Companion: Because senior pets deserve all the love in the world, this animal’s adoption fee is completely WAIVED! We never want an adoption fee to stand in the way of a senior dog enjoying their golden years surrounded by care and comfort. All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Story
Lilly is a 3-year-old, house-trained dog originally adopted from Cincinnati Animal CARE. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. I’ve had her for over a year as a companion for my dog Daisy, and they get along great.Lilly is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She loves to relax and cuddle, play with toys, go for walks and is very food-motivated. She knows basic commands like sit, paw (shake), and lay down. She is happiest in a stable routine, her only behavioral issue is she can experience separation anxiety if left alone too often or separated from her owner. Due to recent life changes, I’m no longer able to provide the consistent routine and attention Lilly needs, which has contributed to increased anxiety and a few stress-induced seizures that, according to our vet, have not been frequent enough to require medication.Lilly would do best in a calm, loving home where she can have consistent attention, a steady routine, and feel secure.
