Meet Archie the one year old Beagle mix. This guy is sweet and ready for a home. He doesn't do well with younger children, so we would recommend him to go home with older teens or no kids at all. We are not sure at this time how he is with other animals so we would recommend brining your current dogs in to meet. So come on down and meet Archie today!

Feb 24: Leroy is doing great. He is now 2 years old and 15 lbs. He is crate trained and sleeps in crate at night (still not house trained at night). Leroy is a resource guarder with dogs. He gets protective of his toys when he has them in his mouth and gets fed away from the eyes of the other dogs. He does NOT resource guard with humans (small children not recommended till they are old enough to leave his stuff alone). If you remove the stuffies and high value bones, he does great with the dog group. He plays and follows his nose throughout the whole yard. If you have experience with resource guarding he will do fine with other pets. If you have no experience, then he should be an only dog. He loves to be petted and hang out in a dog bed. He does need secure fencing, his nose will get him in trouble. He also sings the song of his people...lol May 23: Leroy Jenkins (nod to video games!) was found as a stray and pulled from Animal Friends (Butler County Ohio). He was suffering from kennel cough and got double pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for 3 days. He is approximately 1 to 2 years old and 14 lbs. He is a small Beagle. He is on the timid side but learning to trust. He plays with the other dogs and loves toys. He has the typical beagle bray when he spots something. He is crate trained (not fond of it) and is not house trained. He does wear a belly band in the house when he is outside of his crate. He does need a SECURE PHYSICAL FENCED yard; the nose will lead him away from the yard. He is very food motivated (like many beagles are) and eats separately in his crate. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. January 2024: Estee is a sweet loving dog who loves to be petted. Because of her background she needs a quiet home with secure fencing. She would make a excellent pet for older person or couple. She is now around 4 years old and 20 lbs. Soft ears and soft eyes! She still has some accidents in her crate if left over 6 hours. She will use pads and goes outside easily. She prefers a few zoomies in the yard and then a nice dog bed. Does great with the other dogs, cats unknown. Not a mean bone in her body. February 2023: She is doing great, will make a fine family member for a quiet home with a physical fenced in yard. She is still a flight risk so no small children with the house doors. She must have a secure fence. May 2022: Estee was pulled from Bracken County. She was found as a stray and was likely an unsocialized puppy living away from people. For the first two months she was terrified to come in from outside (carried for 2 months) and a month after that to go out on her own. She is still a little leery of doorways. Estee is 2 years old and 20 lbs. She is the sweetest pup, who is doing great going outside for potty. she does us her crate and will, potty in it sometimes. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Sarah from the Hebrew origins means 'Princess'. What a dream come true, being YOUR princess!! I could totally get on board being treated like a princess, you know, like being spoiled rotten with lots of belly rubs and ear and under the chin scratches and whoa if you threw in some treats that'd just be the bomb...a life of a princess!! I am a total sweetheart of around 8 years, that was pulled from a local shelter where I was on 'the list'. I was shutting down being in a cold loud kennel but since being in my foster home, I've opened up and am starting to blossom. I do wonderfully with the other pups here, even occasionally trying to play. I'm also enjoying playing with stuffie toys. I even like that resident weird smelling thing y'all call a cat, I mostly just let her be (cuz ya know, she smells weird!). I also do great with the little kiddos, being oh so gentle with them. Most of the time I'm quite content to take a snooze while you're doing your thing. I am house broken and getting good at using the doggie door to come inside and am just starting to realize I can use it to go out too! I'm really getting to love this doggie door thing! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! Coming in at around 43lbs I'm not too small that I get under your feet but I'm not too big that I take up the whole... everything. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. I would even make a great first time dog parent pup. I will be good in the kennel but I definitely don't care to use one and I'm very good about not getting into things I shouldn't. Are you looking for that calm mellow gal that will be happy just to be in the same room? Are you looking for that someone to share in your daily life going on's from the mundane to the exciting? That constant, your princess, in your life that will never turn down belly rubs or treats? Oh wait, yep...that'd be ME!!!

We acquired Mila as a puppy and she was a great dog. She loves walks and cuddles. She prefers to have her own bubble so it's suggested not to have young children around her which is why we are rehoming. Louie has been a sweet companion for our family for 9 years now. He was born March 17th 2016. Great with dogs, loves car rides. Absolutely full of love and life. We started raising a family with kids who had high needs, lost jobs, gained jobs back, lost our rental do to our home being sold. We had no choice but to move. The only option we had was for our dogs to go to my in laws. They are in a fenced in area and sheltered which is great. Louie is not getting any exercise and isn’t living life to the fullest anymore. We are unsure how long we will be in this situation so I want the absolute best for him. Reasons why I said unsure on kids: he’s great around older kids who are gentle and understand boundaries, younger kids (he’s great with mine) I would do a very slow transition with that. As far as house trained- he does great when taken in and out. Being alone for a long amount of time he may have an accident. As of now he’s been sheltered outdoor for 1 entire year.
