Story
Say hello to Arizona! This lovable pup started her journey with us as a tiny baby, found a family, and then sadly made her way back when her medical needs became too much for them to handle. Arizona has Addison’s disease, which means she takes a pill every day and gets one injection a month—it's part of her routine now, and she's a champ about it. She’s had a bumpy road and can be a little shy at first, so she’ll need some time (and patience!) to get comfortable with new people. Because of her history, we think Arizona would do best in a calm home without young children. She gets along well with mellow dogs and will need a secure backyard for her outdoor adventures. Arizona is looking for someone who understands she needs to settle in at her own pace, no rushing. Once she trusts you, she’s an absolute sweetheart and will show you just how wonderful she can be. If you’re ready for a loyal friend and can give her the care and understanding she needs, Arizona just might be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Starla! This sweet Beagle Mix lady is 4 years old and weighs about 25lbs. Starla came to rescue after ending up in the shelter incredibly pregnant. Despite our vet's best efforts, Starla lost all of her puppies, leaving her sad and confused. Fast forward a few months later, this sweet girl is coming into her own and realizing how wonderful having a family in a home can be! Starla is very sweet, rolling on her back for belly rubs whenever she gets the chance. She loves to go for walks and to explore the yard. She is fostered with other dogs and with cats and has done well meeting everyone, although a little nervous at first. Starla is fostered with two human foster brothers, ages 11 and 6 and gets frequent visits from the neighborhood kids, who love to take her for walks! Starla is great on a leash - sometimes needing a little extra persuasion to keep walking if she hears a scary noise! Starla is working very hard on her potty training skills and has improved so much since entering her foster home. Her foster family is confident that she will continue to improve in a new home with a consistent routine. Starla may have had a rough start, but she has overcome several obstacles to get to where she is today! She would love to keep improving with a family of her own! If you are interested in making Starla a part of your family - apply today! Her adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
JONES is an extra handsome beagle boy in need of a home. He is everything a beagle should be -- handsome, food motivated, playful, food motivated, friendly, food motivated, good with other dogs, food motivated. Well, you get the picture. He's about 3 years old and fully grown at 27 pounds. Unfortunately Jones was bitten by the wrong mosquito and has tested heartworm positive. Fortunately he's young and treatable. He's already begun his treatment journey. He needs to go to a home in the greater Cincinnati area to complete his treatment. The rescue will cover the cost of his treatment. Jones needs a home with a physically-fenced yard and would be so happy to have another playful dog sibling. If you'd like to meet Jones, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Jones at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 28, 2025, 10:18 pm

Story
Beagle boy ISAAC is here to charm his way into your heart. Do you have any extra treats laying around? Maybe some cheese? A little chicken? Isaac will be happy to dispose of it for you. He is one hungry beagle. Isaac is an affectionate boy ready to lead a happy life in a new home. He's 6-8 years old and 24 pounds. Isaac is good with other dogs but isn't particularly interested in them, he loves to be with his people. He's a bit of a velcro dog. He's an all around very good boy, he's housebroken and crate trained and even handles bath time like a champ.  He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like ot meet Isaac, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.
