Story
Meet Good Ole Billy Bob! This sweet, wiggly boy recently came to us from another shelter and is ready to find his forever home. Billy Bob is full of personality—he loves toys, enjoys climbing right into your lap for attention, and isn’t shy about showing how excited he is to see you (expect plenty of happy wiggles and maybe a few enthusiastic jumps!).We’re still learning how he feels about other dogs and children, so a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure the best fit for everyone in the home.Billy Bob would benefit from continued training to help channel his big energy and make sure he keeps being the very best boy he can be. With some guidance, consistency, and love, he’s sure to shine even brighter. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling, Good Ole Billy Bob might just be your guy!

Story
Adorable puppy HOSS had his cherry eye repaired and is looking even more handsome! Hoss is a 7-8 month old cuddle bug. He's an easygoing guy who loves people, squeaky toys and treats. He loves human attention and has already learned to sit for treats. We're calling Hoss a Shargle -- he appears to be a Shar Pei/Beagle mix. He has the big wrinkly head and sturdy legs of a Shar Pei and the body of a black and tan beagle. At the vet's office he sat calmly while being poked and prodded. He'd fine with anything especially if yummy treats are involved. He's a bright boy who learns quickly and should be fun to train. Hoss is currently 24 pounds and is probably close to fully grown, we're estimating he'll be 30ish pounds when fully grown. He's dog friendly but we think he'd be fine as an only dog as long as he gets plenty of attention. Hoss came to us with his brother Brew who looks more like a beagle, Hoss definitely has a shar pei face. If you'd like to meet Hoss, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Hoss at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
BREW is an adorable 7-8 month old mixed-breed pup looking for a home. He is sweet, playful and crazy for food. Our best guess on breed is -- wait for it -- beagle/Shar Pei. That's a new one on us! He has the biggish slightly wrinkly head of a Shar Pei and the physical size, coloring and body type of a lemon beagle. Brew came to us from a rural shelter with his brother Hoss. Hoss looks more like a Shar Pei, Brew looks more like a beagle. Brew is currently 21 pounds, our best guess is he will be 25-30 pounds when fully grown. He is remarkably chill for a puppy his age. Brew doesn't have a high play motor but he loves his squeaky toys. When playtime is over, Brew is happy to cuddle and nap. Brew is a bit on the shy side and does enjoy the companionship of other dogs. He would benefit from having another fur sibling. If you'd like to meet Brew, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Brew at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate. ADOPTION FEE $50! LOGAN is very good boy in need of a home. He is a sweet gentle guy who craves love and attention. He's a mixed breed boy, probably some type of beagle mix, about 4 years old and currently overweight at 45 pounds, he should be 35 pounds. He's a sweet guy who loves attention, housebroken and crate trained. Logan was recently returned to SDHR after 2 years in a home with a beagle brother. His family brought home a third dog and it was just too much for Logan to handle so he had to leave. Not every dog is cut out for pack life. We were sad to see Logan lose his home but were glad to take him back because we remember him fondly as a sweet good boy who loves with his whole heart. We want to set Logan up for success so his ideal home is one where he will be an only dog. When he was with us two years ago he was fine with cats. Logan is still heartbroken over losing his home, but we know he'll be a happy boy again when he finds someone to love. If you'd like to meet Logan, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Logan at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Story
GATOR is a sweet, easygoing 2 year old beagle boy looking for a home. He came to us after being on the run in a rural area for a month. We have to say he's the chonkiest stray we've ever met -- he tipped the scales at 43 pounds when he arrived (he should be around 32 pounds). All of the good people in the area were feeding him as they tried to catch him. Gator was living the beagle dream, food everywhere! Thankfully he was finally captured and now he's ready to settle down with a family of his very own. Gator is on a diet and he has some strong opinions on the subject. Beagles. If you know you know. Gator is good with everyone -- he loves attention from people and going on long walks. He's fine with cats and other dogs but doesn't seem particularly interested in finding a playmate. He's housebroken and crate trained. He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Gator, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Story
CUPCAKE is a sweet girl looking for a home. Cupcake is a Heinz 57 Varieties-type mixed breed girl who came to us from a rural shelter. She's listed as a beagle mix, she's probably a beagle plus 6 or 8 more breeds. Cupcake is about 18 months old and fully grown at 32 pounds. She's good with other dogs and would love to find a home with another friendly doggo. We'd prefer to find Cupcake a home with a physically-fenced yard. She's housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Cupcake please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.
