Story
I can be a little soft natured when meeting new people, but once I get to know you, you'll see my fun personality shine. Before long, I'm full of happy hops, tail wags, and classic beagle chatter. I'm a playful, affectionate guy who loves spending time with my people, and every walk feels like a brand new adventure. Maybe we can meet and start an adventure together!

Story
This little guy was dumped out of a car near my home, & we rescued him with hopes of finding him a suitable forever home. He is VERY friendly/snuggly/playful, but extremely scared & shy at first. He exhibited behaviors that made me believe he was abused in his previous home, & he is scared of new people. He does not act aggressively whatsoever, he'll just hide under something and bark at you until he feels comfortable. For the first week he would only hang out with my son, & then he eventually learned to trust me & now he won't leave my side. He is missing several teeth on his lower jaw that the vet said likely could have been past trauma. He gets along great with my cats, but will sometimes chase them. He has a habit of getting into the trash can, but we've been working with him to stop that. He is still learning how to ask to go out to the restroom, but will use a puppy pad whenever he does go inside. He needs someone with lots of love & patience. Approx. 3-4yrs old.

Story
Had rhino in my family for 13 years he was the girls dog they had moved on then my son took him over. My son has moved on. I work terrible schedules. I’m on call. Tired of having pinned up in the house for 12 hours at a time would love to seem go to a house that has kids. He is a good dog. I just hate for him to be by himself all the time.

Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

Story
DOROTHY is a silly, slightly naughty beagle girl looking for a home. She's fun and affectionate but also kind of a hoarder. She will drag all toys, chewies, blankies and extra dog beds into her favorite bed, then climb in for a nice snooze. It's adorable. Dorothy is probably 8-9 years old but she doesn't act her age. She enjoys running in the yard with her foster siblings. She isn't playing with them yet but engages in lots of play bows. She's housebroken, crate trained, dog and cat friendly. She's a good sized beagle, her ideal weight is around 30 pounds but she's carrying around a few extra pounds right now. Dorothy needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Dorothy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Dorothy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
MELANIE is a lovely little lemon beagle girl looking for a home. She is petite blondie, about 5 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. Melanie is a little timid when meeting new people an in new situations but she comes around quickly if you offer up some tasty treats. She has been a pure delight in her foster home, an easygoing girl who loves a good cuddle on the sofa and a sniff around the yard. She's dog friendly and enjoys spending time with other dogs but we think she'd be fine as an only dog as well. Melanie is good with kids but toddlers make her nervous. She's housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, basically perfect. Melanie needs a physically fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Melanie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.
