I love playing, especially with my favorite tug ropes. If you're looking for a fun loving companion who's always ready to cuddle, play, or snack, I'm your perfect match.

Story
Lilly is a 3-year-old, house-trained dog originally adopted from Cincinnati Animal CARE. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. I’ve had her for over a year as a companion for my dog Daisy, and they get along great.Lilly is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She loves to relax and cuddle, play with toys, go for walks and is very food-motivated. She knows basic commands like sit, paw (shake), and lay down.She is happiest in a stable routine, her only behavioral issue is she can experience separation anxiety if left alone too often or separated from her owner. Due to recent life changes, I’m no longer able to provide the consistent routine and attention Lilly needs, which has contributed to increased anxiety and a few stress-induced seizures that, according to our vet, have not been frequent enough to require medication.Lilly would do best in a calm, loving home where she can have consistent attention, a steady routine, and feel secure.

Story
This little guy was dumped out of a car near my home, & we rescued him with hopes of finding him a suitable forever home. He is VERY friendly/snuggly/playful, but extremely scared & shy at first. He exhibited behaviors that made me believe he was abused in his previous home, & he is scared of new people. He does not act aggressively whatsoever, he'll just hide under something and bark at you until he feels comfortable. For the first week he would only hang out with my son, & then he eventually learned to trust me & now he won't leave my side. He is missing several teeth on his lower jaw that the vet said likely could have been past trauma. He gets along great with my cats, but will sometimes chase them. He has a habit of getting into the trash can, but we've been working with him to stop that. He is still learning how to ask to go out to the restroom, but will use a puppy pad whenever he does go inside. He needs someone with lots of love & patience. Approx. 3-4yrs old.

Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

MAXXI is a fun and friendly Jeagle (Jack Russel Terrier/Beagle)-type mixed breed boy. He's playful and charming, a little bit timid but so very sweet. He's a leggy little guy, about 2 years old and fully grown at 19 pounds. Maxxi is dog friendly and would be so happy to find a home with another playful, friendly dog. Maxxi was an owner surrender in a rural shelter along with his buddy Blaze. Maxxi is best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard where he can run and play with a dog pal. If you'd like to meet Maxxi, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Maxxi at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Story
BREW is an adorable 7-8 month old mixed-breed pup looking for a home. He is sweet, playful and crazy for food. Our best guess on breed is -- wait for it -- beagle/Shar Pei. That's a new one on us! He has the biggish slightly wrinkly head of a Shar Pei and the physical size, coloring and body type of a lemon beagle. Brew came to us from a rural shelter with his brother Hoss. Hoss looks more like a Shar Pei, Brew looks more like a beagle. Brew is currently 21 pounds, our best guess is he will be 25-30 pounds when fully grown. He is remarkably chill for a puppy his age. Brew doesn't have a high play motor but he loves his squeaky toys. When playtime is over, Brew is happy to cuddle and nap. Brew is a bit on the shy side and does enjoy the companionship of other dogs. He would benefit from having another fur sibling. If you'd like to meet Brew, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.
