Story

Roland was surrendered when his owners decided they did not want a dog anymore. He has not adapted well to the changes in his young life and will guard his home, his person and his food so he will not "lose" them again. Roland needs someone who is an experienced, strong handler who is willing to work with him to overcome his anxieties. He does seem to form bonds with women faster than men. A quieter home with low traffic and no children would suit him best. Roland has so much potential to be a wonderful pet in the right home. Roland is only about 3-4 years old and 41 pounds. Please help this beagle boy find the loving home that he deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. She is very playful and happy go lucky. She still has alot of puppy energy and is still working on her manners so a kid free home would suit her best. She will need someone who can continue to train her and give her consistent structure. This cutie pie is looking for a new home. His foster family says: "Meet Marvin(Marv)! It's Marv-ilous Marvin! He's a "whatever" dog: he goes with the flow - not a care in the world. Want to dress him up in clothes? He says "Sure, whatever". Want to give him a bath? "Ok, whatever". Go for a drive? He'll curl up in the back seat and take a nap. This goofball loves playing with other dogs, people of all ages, and of course, a classic tennis ball. Marv is quite the cuddle bug, and rolls over - belly up - with big expectations for belly rubs. He appreciates a good snooze and is flexible with the sleeping arrangements. In the crate? On the bed? On the couch? In your lap? "Whatever". Beware: He is a lap dog and always willing to give up his time to keep your lap warm - you might not get much work done though, because if you stop rubbing his belly he paws at you and gives you the sad eyes. How can you refuse? Marv comes when his name is called and knows how to sit. He is very food motivated and can be taught easily. Marvin has been introduced to cats and while his big hound nose really likes the way they smell, he has shown no aggression. This sweet boy is looking for a forever family to provide him all the belly rubs he deserves. Marv is about 7 years old and 30 pounds. His meatball head and constantly wagging tail make him an irresistibly Marv-ilous companion. One lucky family will get to hear his tail thump thump thumping whenever he sees them. Maybe that family will be yours! Update: Marvin tested positive for Lyme's. He is almost done with his course of oral antibiotic which can be sent home with his new family for completion. Meet Tommy. This beautiful boy was found running around in a small rural town. When no one claimed him, he was turned over to the local animal shelter. His pictures do not do him justice - he looks very serious but he is a very happy, playful guy. Tommy loves people and cuddling on the couch with you. This boy is so smart he knows how to open doors. Tommy gets along with other dogs, but he will chase cats. Tommy would love to find a family to call is own. He is about 2 years old and 35 pounds. Please help make this sweet boy's dream come true. Update: Tommy tested positive for Lyme's & Anaplasmosis, 2 common tick borne diseases. He is currently on a short course of oral antibiotic and is doing very well.
