Meet Petunia, a petite 14-pound sweetheart who is about 10 years young. We think she’s a beagle–chihuahua mix, but what really matters is her gentle spirit. Found as a stray and never claimed, Petunia has taken everything in stride and quickly shown us what a loving little lady she is. She gets along beautifully with people and other dogs (not so much with cats), and she’s happiest when curled up in a warm lap. Petunia is mellow, content, and comfortable in her own fur. She may be a bit hard of hearing and carries a few small scars from her past, but those only make her more endearing. Petunia is now getting fully vetted and is ready to bring her quiet charm to a forever home. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Everybody meet Bunnie!! This little sweetie is up for adoption and is super loving. She loves people and other dogs. She keeps her kennel really clean so we think she will be easy to housetrain. Bunnie has mid level energy and is around 40 pounds. We just don't know why she has been overlooked for so long! Meet Simba! He is almost 3 years old and is a Peagle, which is a beagle and a Pekingese. Some dogs take a really special person (with a lot of dog experience) and Simba is such a dog. Simba has some history of behavior problems, and is looking for his forever home that will love him and help him become the dog he can be. To be very clear : he does have a bite history with his previous family, and is only a candidate for an experienced adopter. He has resource guarding issues that need to be addressed. While he DOES get along with other dogs in casual interactions and loves to play - he will also guard what he believes is “HIS” - his toys, bones, food, bed, crate from other dogs as well as people. We are happy to share that he has had no bites since moving to his current foster home 8 months ago, where proper precautions and an environment was created to work with his issues. Simba does have a senior friend named Denver, he is a beagle mix as well. Denver is a dog's dog and doesn't much care for people, so if you are up to the challenge, Denver would love a home with Simba to call his own, for the time he has left! Simba's new home will be required to have a yard, as well as no children or cats. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Chip is one of the most loving and affectionate guys out there. He loves to cuddle and of course loves belly rubs. Chip is 12 years old but he is still very young at heart. Chip was acquired from a pet store who got him from a very good breeder up north. Unfortunately he is unable to stay where I currently have to reside so I am looking for a living forever home for him. He is such a good boy and deserves the best.

Bella is an almost 5yr old friendly beagle. She loves to go on walks, play, and sniff everything. She is very quiet for her breed and almost never barks. Unfortunately, she has severe separation anxiety and will howl until she is no longer alone. I would love to find a new home and family where Bella no longer has to be left alone for extended periods and can be loved properly.
