Story
He has been dubbed the new Mayor of OSCAR. He loves the other dogs and being out in the play yard. We do not know what he thinks of cats. He does know basic commands. Jingle was owner surrender after 6 years for becoming aggressive with the husband & wife. We have had him professionally evaluated and he was good during the evaluation with the trainer and another dog that was brought in. "Most of the evaluation he just wanted attention, and to be pet nonstop. Because of his history, and how overwhelmed he gets with loud noises (fireworks, storms, etc), I do not think he should be in a home with any children. He would also benefit from some additional training, as he was not great on the leash and the previous owner stated that he kept going on counters and trying to get into stuff. Overall, he seemed very sweet and very affectionate, but also very anxious and lacks any real structure. He’ll bond pretty quickly to whoever adopts him, but he’s going to need a lot of structure."
At the shelter, Jingle has been very sweet and friendly, with no issues with any staff or volunteers. Jingle is about 8 years old and 45 pounds. And, although he has lived with children for 6 years, he is looking for a quiet yet active (walks, play yard, etc) so a home without kids running around or lots of people coming in and out, parties, etc would suit him best. We do not know how Jingle feels about cats. Please help Jingle find the loving home he is looking for to soon live out his golden years.
We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).
Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Jingle's adoption fee is $175. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.
**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
