Bunny is a 9-year-old, 35 lb affectionate sweetheart who was surrendered to the shelter with two other dogs when her owner could no longer care for them. Despite the change in her life, Bunny has remained an incredibly easygoing and loving girl who simply wants to be close to her person. She is a wonderful companion with a calm, gentle personality. Bunny is very house trained and can easily hold it through the night. She is crate trained but has proven to be completely trustworthy when left out, as she doesn’t touch anything in the home. She is also the easiest dog to walk on a leash and will happily stroll along for as long as you’d like. Bunny loves kids and has done very well with the small dogs she has met and enjoys just peacefully coexisting. She still has plenty of spunk in her — she easily goes up and down a tall wooden staircase and enjoys getting around just fine. She also enjoys stuffed toys and being outside. Sadly, Bunny was recently diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma but is still maintaining well and will return for bloodwork in the next few months to determine her ultimate prognosis. What Bunny is looking for is an understanding and empathetic family to see her through this diagnosis and to know showering her with unconditional love and happiness no matter what during this time is the true treatment. She is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines, and she is ready to find a loving home where she can spend her golden years being the loyal, easy companion she truly is. Roxy was adopted a few months ago from a local shelter. She is sweet and energetic. She is 8-9 Months old beagle/terrier mix. She loves to play fetch and knows the most common commands (ie. sit, paw, come). She is almost house trained, she does well with pee-pads. She does get sensitive to loud noises and gets very skittish around them or around very loud yelling. She loves other animals and plays well with other dogs. She is just not the right fit for our family at this time, but is a very loving little pup. She deserves more attention than we are able to give at this time

Shorty is one of our dogs who survived the shelter fire. He is about 3 years old and a nice sized 40 pounds. His foster family says this about him: "Shorty is doing great! He’s been learning his boundaries and making wonderful progress, and he has officially mastered “sit” 🎉 He’s starting to understand that our yard is where he is supposed to stay He’s still a little curious about the world though and might try to slip out the door if given the chance. We’ve also discovered his biggest weakness… string cheese! It’s definitely his kryptonite and the perfect motivator for training. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and once he does, he’s a total cuddle bug. He would love nothing more than to curl up on the couch with you and snuggle up next to you at night. He also has the softest fur, and if you’re lucky, he’ll give you a tiny kiss. Shorty has a great balance of playful energy and relaxed, easygoing vibes. He enjoys playtime, especially fetch and tug, and tennis balls are his absolute favorite!
