Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. TAM-TAM is a darling beagle mix, 15 weeks, 23 lbs. WHAT a cutie! TAM-TAM is one of 5 pups born to Momma Risa. Rescued in West TN by a visiting relative from Colorado. That does not happen very often. She and her Family picked them up and went over and beyond to help them. VAL-ANN, KIMMIE, JULIUS, GAGE are also available for adoption. Momma Risa will be ready to leave soon. She is a great mom. His life there was very stressful, which led to him being fearful of loud noises. He will need a quiet environment with someone who will give him time and space to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Cooper is neutered, current on his shots, microchipped, loving, warm and friendly. Do you live alone, have no other animals, have a fenced in yard and are able to put Cooper in a private room away when you have company? If so, Cooper may be the dog for you. diesel is a five-year-old mixed breed dog. Diesel is our longest resident but a staff favorite. He loves long walks and playing in the pool in the summer. He loves stuffed toys and will play like a little puppy when he receives them. Diesel is house trained and may be able to live in the home with a female dog. Diesel does not show well due to him not being a fan of strangers, but once he gets to know you, you are in his heart for good. Diesels ideal home will be an adult only home with someone who understands the responsibility of owning a dog who does not warm up to people right away. My name is Dusty! I am 6 to 7 years old and 30 lbs. I am a mature adult that is easy to have around! I am low maintenance, friendly and really enjoying the comforts of a real home. I was found wandering around a college campus in Texas. Prior to that, someone told the rescue I was kept outside and never really got to experience the joys of heat, A/C, a dog bed, safety from animals outside and just some peace and quiet. Since coming here, I have soaked it all up. I am so appreciative of my cushy surroundings that I spend a lot of my day hanging out on my amazing bed, snoozing, looking out the window, sitting next to my humans, asking for pets, grazing on my food and just basking in the comforts of the indoor life. I enjoy short strolls and bird watching. I have no desire to venture far from my new found haven. When I am in "hunting mode," I don't even pull, I just hang out and stare :). I am also housebroken and while I am fine in a crate, I really don't need it! I am dog friendly but I don't need them either. I would be great as an only and probably prefer it now that I have had it. It would be super fun to have my own space and people after all I have endured. Older kids would be best for me or an adult family home. I don't need chaos! We aren't sure on cats but I am pretty chill... PS - I have an impressive side eye! I am located in NJ.
