Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. Say hello to Forrest. He is as sweet as him namesake. A teenage boy took him from a suspicious situation to make sure he got the life he deserved. Thanks to that boy, Forrest made his way to one of our volunteers who instantly said “yes” to fostering him. He walked with a limp that she knew needed to be checked out and she was right. Forrest suffered a pelvic fracture sometime in his short little life. But the vet said it was already healing and with rest and proper support he would continue to heal and do great without surgery. And he is doing great. We don’t know what happened to cause this injury. We just know that his life is going to be amazing from here on out. He is fostered with other dogs and cats and he loves everyone he meets. His foster mom may be spoiling him :) He is doing great with house and crate training and he is a fast runner and learner. He will be great for a fun active family. We are estimating he was born about the end of May so he is a typical puppy with typical puppy energy and habits. He weighs about 15 pounds and we are having to guess at his breed mix. We are thinking he will end up being a medium dog. He will complete his vetting and be ready to travel to his forever home by then end of Sept. His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported from TN where he is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 fee. He is affectionate, crate trained, enjoys toys and playing fetch, walks nicely on leash and enjoys car rides. Cooper was raised in one home since he was a puppy. His life there was very stressful, which led to him being fearful of loud noises. He will need a quiet environment with someone who will give him time and space to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Cooper is neutered, current on his shots, microchipped, loving, warm and friendly. Do you live alone, have no other animals, have a fenced in yard and are able to put Cooper in a private room away when you have company? If so, Cooper may be the dog for you. diesel is a five-year-old mixed breed dog. Diesel is our longest resident but a staff favorite. He loves long walks and playing in the pool in the summer. He loves stuffed toys and will play like a little puppy when he receives them. Diesel is house trained and may be able to live in the home with a female dog. Diesel does not show well due to him not being a fan of strangers, but once he gets to know you, you are in his heart for good. Diesels ideal home will be an adult only home with someone who understands the responsibility of owning a dog who does not warm up to people right away. My name is Lizzy! I’m a 3.5-month-old, 14-pound little lady, and I am A-dorable! We think I’m a Beagle mix, with Lab and Jack Russell Terrier likely rounding out my family tree. I should be about 35 lbs full grown. I am a funny and entertaining character. I love other dogs and follow my older canine friends around when they go outside or check things out. I am very attached to my foster mom and I am sure to stay close to her whereever she goes. I am a fan of the other humans in my house too including the kids!
