Story
Introducing Ritzy, the 4-month-old Beagle mix with a name as fancy as her heart is big! This delightful pup currently weighs about 20 lbs and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. Ritzy is a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs and kids. She has not been around cats yet, but with her sweet and easygoing nature, she's sure to win the hearts of everyone she meets. With a name like Ritzy, you might expect her to be all about the glitz and glamour, but this girl is as down-to-earth as they come.  Ritzy loves spending time outdoors, whether it's playing or simply lounging in the sun. When she's not enjoying the great outdoors, she's happiest cuddled up with her favorite humans or playing with her toys. Almost fully house trained and crate trained, Ritzy just needs a little reinforcement in her new home to become the perfect pet companion. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.  Available now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA 15144 KL#16182 ##2033310##

Story
Cooper is a great dog with a unique personality. He is extremely patient and does well with kids. He is still young so has lots of energy, but also likes being a potato and loves to cuddle. He loves to play- squeaky toys, balls, chew toys, rope. He is very sweet and has potential to be more behaved if trained (sometimes he jumps and barks) He is house trained and will stand by the door & eventually start crying to go outside. He knows basic commands (sit, paw, etc.). He is a little bossy and will force you to pet him by pawing at your arm, whining, and nudging with his head. Cooper a is a very very sweet and loving boy that only wishes to have love and attention

Story
My husband surprised me with our dog Bruno 7 years ago when we lived in Los Angeles. At the time, we had 2 cats and another dog. He gets along well with both cats and dogs but outside of the household, needs to get used to other dogs. When we rescued him, we were told he was already an older dog but do not think that was the case. I am guestimating he is now around 11 years old but still has the energy of a younger dog. We had a fenced in yard and was able to let him roam outside as well as regular walks. However, we recently had twins, relocated and do not have the time to give him the outdoor activity or attention he needs. He is very friendly and cuddly and just needs someone who can play with him and give him the space he needs to roam.

Story
Laszlo is a loyal and sweet companion. He loves playing fetch, walks or runs, and is very clever and surprisingly strong for his small size. Laszlo is 6 years old, and was shelter adoption in July '22. While I don't know much about his history prior to this, it doesn't appear to have been good. We've had a positive experience with him taking to myself (female) and my partner (male), as well as our other younger dog as well as dogs and people at daycare. While I've valued my time with Laszlo, I have not been able to provide him with the assistance he needs with his separation anxiety, high alertness, and reactivity and aggression towards unfamiliar people and animals that he perceives to be on his property. Laszlo would be best suited with an experienced dog owner, not living in an apartment, who is able to invest time working with him. Disclaimer: In 2024 Laszlo was reported for biting someone in our apartment complex when he got off his leash.

Story
This is Leo. He is a 3 year old beagle and husky mix. He is a very loyal and loving dog. Leo has a lot of energy and loves to play. He suffers from anxiety, is scared of new people, but once he warms up to them he won't leave them alone and wants attention. He is very territorial and will go crazy when he sees another dog or person walking by. However he is not mean, does not bite, and loves to play with other dogs. Would do best in a house with another dog. He also gets scared easily on walks by bikes and cars, and will take off if he sees a rabbit or a squirrel. Current owner is elderly and has a hard time handling Leo's energy. He knows basic commands and loves to chew on his bone and get new toys! All he wants is the love and attention he deserves!

Story
Charlie is a very handsome 6-year-old beagle boy searching for his forever home. He loves his humans and enjoys getting attention from his foster mom. He is housetrained, loves car rides, potties in his fenced yard and during his walks. He follows the lead from the other dogs in his foster home. During walks he is very curious about any wildlife smells. He has a high prey drive and will try to climb over the fence. Charlie’s new home will require a very secure fence and close supervision when in the yard. Charlie would do best in a home where he is the only dog. Because of his high prey drive, he will need a home with no cats. Charlie is a very loving medium energy dog and will make the perfect addition for the right home. Contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor if you would like to know more about Charlie. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
