TREE BUD (Male) DOB: 1/31/26 Attributes Dog friendly Playful Snuggly Working on housetraining Crate trained Not best for apartments High energy Looking for a new best friend, then Tree Bud is the pup for you. Bud is the most adventurous of the trio with a warm heart and a strong personality. He is very smart having learned "sit", "off" and "no". He is a cuddle bug and loves being with people and other dogs. Bud loves to play, and be outside but he also likes being close to his people. He definitely has the beagle trait for food and is very food driven, but this makes his training easier as he will do anything for a treat. Bud is 90% house-broken, he knows to go outside but sometimes his excitement will lead to an accident, very impressive for a puppy. A funny thing about him is when he is hyper you can pick him up and he melts into calmness. Bud is 100% crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). ---------------------------- Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

SHEILA 2 – 3 years Attributes Adult-Only Home Preferred Will potty on leash Crate Trained Does not Like Car Rides Not good with Cats Dog Friendly Working on House Training Medium Energy Playful Not best for Apartments Hi Everyone, My name is Sheila. I am a stunning 15-inch blue tick beagle, and under three years old (DOB 07-26-23). I had a family that included other dogs. Unfortunately, we needed new homes because of our owners’ ages and health issues. I am a good girl – friendly with other dogs, docile, loving and well socialized. I was an outdoor dog, so I am working on potty training and adjusting to the “newness” of being inside a home. I really enjoy being in a home, and I have not destroyed anything other than some dents in the dog toys! My foster parents said my energy level is medium, but it can be medium-high as times (more on that in a bit). My previous owners trained me for trail runs, but I have officially started my retirement from those activities. Because of my trail run experience, I have a very strong hunt drive, this is where my energy level moves to medium-high. Although I am approximately 36 lbs., do not let that fool you into thinking I need a diet - I am slim, it is all muscle! My foster parents are using “clicker” training to help me break my focus on scents when I am outside. It is in-progress training, but I am improving. I will not do well in a home with cats or smaller animals such as guinea pigs. Note from the foster home: Sheila is an extremely sweet, loving and funny foster dog. She is VERY smart. She loves to “hug” us with her front legs. Her transition into a home is going much quicker than expected. She is good with our resident beagle, but her playing patterns can be a little too much for our resident - Emma is significantly smaller than Sheila. Sheila has been good at interacting with older children in the neighborhood. We do not have a fenced yard, but she potties on a leash. Any leashed activities need to be handled by adults only. She is fully crate trained. Color about fence experience was provided by previous owners – she could climb the fenced-in recreational area with or without the assistance of the surrounding trees. Sheila is still adjusting to being in a car – it upsets her stomach, but anti-nausea medication helps. She will do well in a patient home while she continues to transition into trail run retirement. We recommend an adult only home (she has an entire repertoire of loud noises that would not be conducive for an apartment or townhouse). NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
KYRA 2 years LYRA 1 year Attributes Bonded pair Dog friendly Adult-only home Not best for apartments Housetrained Need a fenced yard Kyra and Lyra are a beautiful, young, bonded pair of small girls who are ready to find a loving home together. They came from a breeder situation and are now discovering how wonderful life in a home can be. With each passing day in their foster home, they continue to grow in confidence and show just how special they are. These two are inseparable and share a sweet, devoted bond—they truly do everything together. Kyra, about 2 years old, is the more confident of the pair. Whether it’s heading outside or settling in for bedtime, she helps show Lyra the way. Kyra is curious and gently explores her surroundings, and once she feels comfortable, she enjoys back scratches, belly rubs, treats, and even following her foster family around. She loves cozy spots—whether that’s by your feet, on the couch, or snuggled up with a dog friend. Lyra, around 1½ years old, is a thoughtful and observant girl who still requires encouragement from Kyra and other dogs. While she is reserved, she is clearly interested in connecting and has already made progress—taking treats by hand and choosing to rest near her foster mom. With time and patience, her sweet personality will continue to shine through. Both girls have made good strides since arriving in foster care. They are learning to relax, enjoy a predictable routine, and feel safe in their environment. Because of this, they would do best in a home in a quiet suburban or rural neighborhood – apartment living and the hustle and bustle of city life is not for them! They would prefer an adult-only home, but a quiet home with calm, older children might also be a viable option. Car rides are not on their list of favorite things to do, but hopefully over time they will learn that car rides can lead to fun. They love having cozy spaces to unwind and will happily play, run, and wrestle together when they think no one is watching! Their playful side really comes out with each other and with other friendly dogs. Kyra and Lyra are housetrained with only occasional accidents and do best with regular outdoor access, so a fenced yard will help them continue to succeed. They haven’t yet learned leash walking but are making progress every day in building trust and confidence. These gentle, loving girls are looking for a patient and understanding home that will continue to nurture their growth. In return, they will offer a special bond—not only with each other, but with the lucky family who gives them the chance to fully blossom into the happy, loving companions they are meant to be. JUNO 2 years Attributes Dog friendly Needs another dog Not good w/cats Housetrained Crate trained Potties on leash Needs a fence Fence jumper Likes car rides Playful High energy Juno is a petite, 17-pound beagle with a massive zest for life! Don't let her small size fool you; she is a busy, athletic girl who needs plenty of action and attention. She is currently in constant play mode with her foster beagle siblings and would absolutely thrive in a home with another dog to wrestle and run with. If you are interested in dog sports like agility, frisbee, or flyball, Juno will be your perfect partner. This smart girl pays close attention, reacts well to gestures, and is eager to learn. However, her classic beagle prey drive means if she spots a bunny or a squirrel outside, she's ready to launch! Juno is quite the acrobat—she can easily clear a 2-foot fence and will scale 3- or 4-foot fences if there is something for paw holds. She will need a securely fenced yard (preferably tall, solid privacy fencing) and a watchful eye when she is out exploring. Juno is incredibly outgoing and friendly to everyone she meets. Rather than jumping up when approached, she politely bows down for pets. While she is a champion player with other dogs, her high activity level means she is likely too rambunctious for cats or toddlers. She has already mastered potty and crate training, but she is still a young soul who will need your help learning basic house manners and how to walk nicely on a leash. Scent-driven, food-motivated, a beautiful singer, and incredibly sweet, Juno is all beagle! After a long day of running and playing, she loves nothing more than to settle down and cuddle. If you have an active lifestyle, love outdoor adventures, and have experience with the wonderful quirks of hounds, Juno might just be your perfect match. GOLDIE 2 – 3 years Attributes: Crate trained Housetrained Playful Single dog home Requires a fence Fence jumper Adult home only preferred Will potty on leash Good in car Medium energy Snuggly Meet Goldie! 🐾 Goldie is a 2–3-year-old, 35-pound Beagle mix (with a little Boxer flair!) who’s full of personality, affection, and charm. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves being close to her people, Goldie might just be your perfect match. This sweet girl is incredibly people-friendly and thrives on attention. She’s happiest when she’s curled up beside you, soaking in chin and belly scratches—or better yet, snuggled up in bed for a cozy night’s sleep. Goldie truly loves her humans and forms strong bonds. Goldie has a medium energy level and knows some basic commands like “come,” “sit,” and “leave it.” She’s both house-trained and crate-trained, and will even go into her crate on her own to relax. Like many dogs, she may whine or bark a bit when first left alone, but she settles in with time. Goldie does have a playful, mischievous side—she can’t resist the occasional slipper or cushion if left unsupervised! She’s also working on her manners, like keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people. Because of her enthusiasm and strength, Goldie would do best in a home without small children or unsteady adults. She can be a bit rough with other dogs and would benefit from either being the only pet or having a very carefully matched canine companion. Goldie is also a bit of an escape artist—she’s been known to test fences, dig, and even dash out an open door—so she’ll need a vigilant home committed to keeping her safe and secure. The good news? Goldie is healthy, up to date on care, and ready to find her forever family. Goldie’s ideal home: Adults or older, dog-savvy teens Secure yard and attentive supervision Someone patient and willing to continue her training A home ready for lots of cuddles and companionship If you’re looking for a loving, snuggly, and spirited companion, Goldie is ready to fill your home with joy (and maybe a little bit of mischief, too!). NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
