She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. She’s the feisty, talkative little sister who absolutely loves being the center of attention. Maisie has a huge heart for people and gets along well with other dogs, greeting everyone she meets with tail wags and puppy energy. She’s already making great progress with her training — she’s crate trained and nearly house trained, with only an occasional accident. Maisie is still learning how to walk on a leash and ride comfortably in the car, but with patience and consistency she’ll catch on quickly. Like any curious puppy, she has a mischievous streak (trash and wrappers are her weakness!) but she has shown wonderful manners with personal belongings and happily sticks to her toys. Maisie will thrive in a home that offers structure, guidance, and lots of love. Whether it’s a house with a fenced yard or an apartment with plenty of walks and playtime, she’ll bring endless joy, affection, and puppy antics to her forever family. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

He is approximately 4 years old and weighs around 30 pounds. This handsome boy loves his food and treats. He was a bit short in the manners department, but is doing really well with "sit" and "wait" (especially when it's mealtime). He is mostly potty trained and uses the doggy door to take care of his business in a fenced yard. However, he does not seem to like going out in the dark, which results in a few accidents. I have been leashing him at bedtime and walking the yard with him. He will potty on a leash. We are also working on leash manners. He is a true Beagle and walks on a leash in the crazy, zig-zag formation. He does not crate well and seems to have high anxiety when crated. However, he seems to feel quite comfortable napping in one of the dog beds with his foster canine siblings when I am away. I work part-time several days a week and am gone up to 6 hours at a time without any problems. He has decided that the best place for him to sleep at night is next to me, and he sleeps very soundly. This boy is a lover and a snuggler. He loves his daily exercise in our “dog park” and will need a home that can take him on daily walks. He gets along well with other dogs and is rather patient with our grumpy and blind resident boy Beagle. We have not had much of a chance to hang out with children but he really enjoyed the few times he was around kids. He does have a lot of energy though, which means crazy zoomies, so very young children could literally be swept off their feet by him. He loves toys and empties the toy box often. He enjoys chew toys and is starting to get the hang of fetching a ball. This sweet, friendly, and curious dog has a personality that lights up any room. Ace (and his brother, Milo) are looking for forever homes having been surrendered after the death of their owner. Ace and Milo are currently residing at the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV.  Ace and Milo are 2-years old and are beagle/bulldog mixes, known as "Beabulls." The breed is known as active, playful and great companions and family dogs for active households. They are the quintessential beagle mix with happy personalities and attentive tails showing enthusiasm. Both dogs are very energetic, curious and do well on a leash. The love attention and return it with big smiles.  Ace is a sturdy boys that would make a great companion for someone or a family that will commit to not only giving him lots of playtime but also loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs!" He will benefit from  basic obedience classes to teach him good manners. He should do well with a dog of his size and playstyle but is far too energetic for cats and toddlers.
