Meet Margo( we call her "Mama") This sweet old lady was found last year with a few other dogs on the side of the road toss out like trashed on a hot summer day. a kind family scooped them up and brought them to us . That night while with the family she went into labor and gave birth to one single little baby. She took great care of that baby an now its her turn to find a loving home in her golden years. We think she is 11, and that's just a guess no one knows since they were found on the side of the road. She has been spayed, she is housetrained and is heart wormed neg, but was use for breeding and all the dogs she was with still had milk and they were finished nursing a litter of pups and maybe were too old and were done with them. Here back knees are stiff, there nothing that will be done , she walks and runs just fine. She is quite unless she is hungry or needs to go potty. Siren is a calm, gentle, quiet girl who joined us from rural Kentucky. It appeared she had had very little human interaction when joining BAARK last year, but with time and patience, she has come out of her shell and has become a little more confident….but does have a ways to go. Siren is definitely a Mix Breed, possibly a Beagle-Heeler, with other breeds sprinkled in! She’s an estimated 32 lbs. born in January of 2021. This sweet girl enjoys the company of other dogs in her foster home, but prefers calm dogs. She can become startled by loud noises and quick movement but as her confident continues to grow, such things will likely not bother her. Siren is most likely to thrive in a quieter household consisting of adults. But older children, respectful of animals, would be good for Siren as well. She’d really enjoy the companionship of a calm, possibly older dog too. A secure fenced yard is also a plus. Siren is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. She is believed to be housebroken as well. Despite everything he’s been through, Cash’s spirit shines bright. He was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, where he was found chained to a tree in the backyard—isolated and forgotten. Though the rescue team was originally there for a group of Chihuahuas, they couldn’t leave Cash behind. While they couldn’t keep him, we welcomed him with open arms and have been helping him heal ever since. 💛 Personality & Temperament: Cash is incredibly friendly and affectionate. He adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He thrives on companionship—whether it’s playing with his canine pals or simply lounging in the yard. Meet Lilly a sweet, gentle Beagle/Hound who joined us a few months ago, along with two of her sisters, all confiscated from a hoarding situation. She is just over a year old (est DOB 12-05-2023) and weighs about 28 lbs. In her foster home, Lilly is working on her social skills and, learning to become a dog! She enjoys playing with other dogs, and prefers to be with dogs, over people. Lilly may be ok with older children (over age 12) But she especially enjoys being with another dog. Lilly is looking to become part of a family that is patient, compassionate, and loving, and to living her best life in an environment that is calm and not overly hectic. Beagle/hound experience is a big plus. Because she enjoys being outside, a secure fenced (above ground) yard is very important to her. Lilly is not disposed to being an apartment dweller or living in a condo. She likes to bark and such environments would not be appropriate for her. With his Beagle/Basset mix roots, he loves to follow interesting scents and explore the world one sniff at a time. Curious, friendly, and easygoing, Benny brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever he goes. He does well with other dogs and is also great with kids, making him a wonderful fit for an active, loving family. Benny enjoys companionship and would thrive in a home where he can be part of daily life, whether that means walks, playtime, or just hanging out with his people. If you’re looking for a happy, social pup with a gentle soul and a love for exploration, Benny could be your perfect match. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption.
