Meet Margo( we call her "Mama") This sweet old lady was found last year with a few other dogs on the side of the road toss out like trashed on a hot summer day. a kind family scooped them up and brought them to us . That night while with the family she went into labor and gave birth to one single little baby. She took great care of that baby an now its her turn to find a loving home in her golden years. We think she is 11, and that's just a guess no one knows since they were found on the side of the road. She has been spayed, she is housetrained and is heart wormed neg, but was use for breeding and all the dogs she was with still had milk and they were finished nursing a litter of pups and maybe were too old and were done with them. Here back knees are stiff, there nothing that will be done , she walks and runs just fine. She is quite unless she is hungry or needs to go potty. Bailey is a active 3-4 year old Beagle, weighing just about 20 lbs. She’s a 13” Beagle, very petite, and very sassy! Bailey is a unique cocoa-brown and white color; the brown glistens in sunlight! She is very confident but is not dominant with the other dogs in her foster home. She co-exists well with all, big and small. Bailey enjoys playing with toys and running in her secure, fenced (above ground) yard, and relaxing on one of her dog beds, or with her foster mom. She insists on sleeping in bed, preferably on one of the pillows! And, being a Beagle, also enjoys vocalizing; as such she would not be a welcomed apartment or condo dweller! An ideal family for Bailey is one in which she can receive plenty of attention, toys, and cuddle time. She would enjoy the company of another dog but would be just fine as an only dog, too. She would do fine with older children (10+ years) but would not enjoy the antics of little ones. Breed experience is very important to ensure a successful forever home and family. Story

Siren is a calm, gentle, quiet girl who joined us from rural Kentucky. It appeared she had had very little human interaction when joining BAARK last year, but with time and patience, she has come out of her shell and has become a little more confident….but does have a ways to go. Siren is definitely a Mix Breed, possibly a Beagle-Heeler, with other breeds sprinkled in! She’s an estimated 32 lbs. born in January of 2021. This sweet girl enjoys the company of other dogs in her foster home, but prefers calm dogs. She can become startled by loud noises and quick movement but as her confident continues to grow, such things will likely not bother her. Siren is most likely to thrive in a quieter household consisting of adults. But older children, respectful of animals, would be good for Siren as well. She’d really enjoy the companionship of a calm, possibly older dog too. A secure fenced yard is also a plus. Siren is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. She is believed to be housebroken as well. Story

Cash is an absolutely precious boy, most likely a Beagle/Mix. He looks and acts like a Beagle but his coat is a bit unusual. We believe its due to his horribly neglectful past and very poor nutrition. Cash was discovered as part of a hoarding situation. The rescues were on the property to deal with a Chihuahua hoarding situation but discovered Cash chained on a short heavy chain to a tree in the back yard. They scooped him up and took him with them….but they could not keep him in their rescue so we took this terribly neglected pup. In spite of his isolated and neglectful past, Cash is very friendly and likes people and all the dogs he has met. He loves attention and wants to be with his person. He enjoys playing with his dog friends and hanging out in the yard with them, too. Cash is estimated to be 6 years old and weighs about 24 lbs. He is housebroken for the most part. His foster mom does not require him to be crated but he is not reluctant to go into an open crate. He does just fine being loose in the home when his foster mom is gone and he absolutely loves sleeping at the foot of the bed at night. Yes Cash is a Beagle but he’s not much of a barker. However we do not recommend apartment or condo living for him given his breed. The ideal family for Cash is one with Beagle or Hound experience and truly love the breed. A secure fenced yard and canine companion are also huge pluses. Cash is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round preventative, neutered and microchipped.
