Story
A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hello – I’m Katya!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am so grateful that they are dedicated to helping me find my furever home.  I recently spent a couple of days in a wonderful temporary foster home during the cold weather event, and I loved being a part of a loving home.  I’m back at Mostly Mutts now and hope to be in my very own furever home soon!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was friendly with them. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / Cats unknown. / I enjoyed the company of the two boys in my temp. foster home (ages 6 and 12 years old).  I can be a bit jumpy and playfully mouthy, so best no toddlers or small children that I may bump over or unintentionally nip during play. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers say I am a gorgeous girl with the cutest, tiny ears.  My temp. foster said I was ‘just the sweetest’ and – after a nice walk or other exercise, I settle right in with a calm demeanor.  Young and playful, I can be a bit exuberant with my play, so I will need you to help me curb my mouthiness.  I’m just young and want to play!  Though I was a bit nervous for my shelter bath, I sought comfort by clinging to my bather and was very patient for that pesky ear cleaning. / My energy level is about 4-6 at the shelter but was  higher in my temp. foster home.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program where so far, I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, and ‘leave it’ commands, and I look forward to learning even more!  / I’ve had good crate manners at the shelter and during my recent 2-day visit in my temp foster home. / My potty habits were good in my temp. foster home, but I am having a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with my people and even enjoy spending some fun time with that flat dog I see in the mirror! They do everything I do – while I am doing it – so crazy!  I love attention and will mouth at hands and legs to get it but I’m sure you can teach me not to do that.  I’m much more interested in being a people dog than playing with toys right now, but perhaps you can show me how much fun those can be. / I can’t think of any real dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a home with a loving family who will cherish me as a furry family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 10, 2026, 8:10 pm

Story
Meet Mr. Crane! He will certainly be happy to meet you. This dog does happy like no dog I've ever seen. He literally jumps for joy! When I come home, He goes sailing past my head. Crane is very playful. He especially likes those rope toys, which he will play with on his own or he'll play tug of war until your arm falls off. But if you sit still for long enough, he will curl up with you. That is his favorite place to be, in contact with his people. It gives him a sense of security. Crane did not have a good start in life. He was seconds away from being euthanizedHe is one year old and has lived in at least four places during the first 10 months. So in his little world, everyone you love goes away. That makes him crave reassurance. If he can just settle some place and learn that no one is leaving, I think that he should develop a little more independence. Won't you give Mr. Crane a chance? He's a beautiful, sweet-tempered boy who will be overjoyed for a chance to be your best friend.

Story
Boss man has been with me since birth. He was the alpha pup of my parents' family pet, Diamond. Unfortunately, I'm at a point in my life where i need to relocate, but i just am not able to accommodate him on this transition. I've gone back and forth with myself about this decision for about 5 years. i honestly don't want to give him up for adoption but my current situation has forced me to decide. I have run out of time and options. So hopefully. Someone. With the time and the space. We'll be willing to take him in as he is a very seasoned house house dog.

Story
Hi, I`m Baxter. Life didn’t start out easy for me. I came from a pretty unsanitary situation before Atlanta Humane rescued me and showed me what kindness feels like. I’m still learning how to fully trust and navigate the world, but I have made such amazing progress and am really starting to enjoy life as a “normal” dog. Underneath my cautious beginnings is a heart that’s so ready to love. Once I feel safe, you’ll see just how incredibly sweet and affectionate I can be!I love playing outside and soaking up fresh air. I’m a gentle, playful guy who likes to have fun with the people I trust most. Watching me open up and gain confidence has been so special — and my future family will get to see that beautiful journey continue. I’d do best with a patient family who understands that I just need a little time to settle in. In return, I promise to give you all the love I’ve been saving up. I can’t wait to run, play, and enjoy being a happy dog by your side!P.S. I qualify for Welcome Trial, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to see if we`re the perfect match before making things official. With love,Baxter
