Max is a one-year-and-two-month-old female Border Collie. She is very sweet, intelligent, and energetic, and she loves people and children. She is healthy, and up to date on all her vaccinations. We are relocating internationally on January 28 and, unfortunately, cannot bring Max with us. This decision was not made lightly. We are looking for a responsible, loving, long-term home for her. Max would do best in an active home where she can receive plenty of exercise, attention, and love.

Story
A HAPPY & LOVING FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 35 lbs. Hi, my name is Beso!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  They have been taking great care of me here, and I even got to visit a couple of nice temporary foster homes during the recent snow and ice events, so that was a lot of fun!  One of my temporary fosters said I “will make a lucky family a great companion.”  I came in with some itchy skin and a little fur loss possibly from a flea allergy so I’m getting medicated baths to help with that.  I’m now ready to find a great furever home of my very own – so that the fun can continue!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I got along just great with the dogs I met in both temp. foster homes recently (though I may have mischievously stolen a toy or two, but only in a playful way – lol) , so – if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Everyone agrees – I am a super sweet guy with a fun and loving personality!  My mixed Border Collie breed shines through, as I am a smart boy, too.  I’m keen to what is going on in my surroundings and will give ‘bark alerts’ for my family.  Though I was initially scared of the bath sprayer for my first bath, I braved my way through and thoroughly enjoyed the rubs and scrubs that brought relief for my itchy skin.  What a handsome boy I will be when my fur finishes growing back in!  A total love bug, I am ready to be your loyal lap dog – yep, all 35 lbs. of me – lol.  You are sure to love my friendly disposition – with people and fur friends alike. / My energy level is 6-8, so let’s be active and have fun together. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I was familiar with the ‘sit’ command in both of my temp. foster homes and had good leash manners.  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, and – though not crated in one temp. foster home, I slept through the night nicely in a crate in the other. / I’ve had good potty habits at the shelter and in both temp. foster homes. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  My Mostly Mutts name fits me well, as ‘beso’ means ‘kiss’ in Spanish, and I love to give lots of them!  I’m also a big fan of Nylabones and STRONG chew toys.  Treats?  Yes, please.  I also enjoy my walks and being near my people.  Giving affection and making you smile – those are my favorite things! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am continuing with medicated baths for a bit longer and these can be done in my new home.     I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 6, 2026, 6:48 am

Story
A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hello – I’m Katya!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am so grateful that they are dedicated to helping me find my furever home.  I recently spent a couple of days in a wonderful temporary foster home during the cold weather event, and I loved being a part of a loving home.  I’m back at Mostly Mutts now and hope to be in my very own furever home soon!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I enjoyed the company of the two boys in my temp. foster home (ages 6 and 12 years old).  I can be a bit jumpy and playfully mouthy, so best no toddlers or small children that I may bump over or unintentionally nip during play. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers say I am a gorgeous girl with the cutest, tiny ears.  My temp. foster said I was ‘just the sweetest’ and – after a nice walk or other exercise, I settle right in with a calm demeanor.  Young and playful, I can be a bit exuberant with my play, so I will need you to help me curb my mouthiness.  I’m just young and want to play!  Though I was a bit nervous for my shelter bath, I sought comfort by clinging to my bather and was very patient for that pesky ear cleaning. / My energy level is about 4-6 at the shelter but was  higher in my temp. foster home.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a pretty bright girl and know the ‘come’ and ‘leave it’ commands, and I would love to learn even more great commands with my new family. / I’ve had good crate manners at the shelter and during my recent 2-day visit in my temp foster home. / My potty habits were good in my temp. foster home, but I am having a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with my people and even enjoy spending some fun time with that flat dog I see in the mirror! They do everything I do – while I am doing it – so crazy!  I love attention and will mouth at hands and legs to get it but I’m sure you can teach me not to do that.  I’m much more interested in being a people dog than playing with toys right now, but perhaps you can show me how much fun those can be. / I can’t think of any real dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a home with a loving family who will cherish me as a furry family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 7, 2026, 7:41 am

Story
Lola is a very sweet puppy and loves cuddling. She has plenty of energy and loves to run. She is about 8 monthes old and is for the most part potty trained when in a schedule. I am a college student and feel like she deserves a home that can give her more attention and take her outside to play more than I can on a daily basis. I have the adoption fee at $300 because I will also be giving her cage, food, and loads of toys away with her.
