Story
Meet Nani! Nani is a beautiful German Shepherd Border Collie mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She absolutely adores people and is the kind of dog who will happily soak up all the attention, affection, and belly rubs you’re willing to give. Her sweet nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal and loving best friend.Nani is also a playful, energetic girl who enjoys being active and having fun. One of her favorite games is being chased by her dog friends around the yard—she’ll zoom around happily and keep the party going! When the roles reverse and she’s the one doing the chasing, her Border Collie side shines through. She stalks and chases on overdrive. Her ideal dog companion would be an active male dog who doesn’t mind letting Nani take the lead. She enjoys being the boss and thrives with dogs who are happy to follow her cue during playtime.Because of her strong prey drive, Nani cannot live in a home with cats.Overall, Nani is a loving, lively, and intelligent dog who will make an amazing companion for an active home that can give her plenty of play, structure, and affection. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited dog who will bring joy, energy, and loyalty to your life, Nani might be your perfect match. Come meet Nani and see if she’s the missing piece to your family! What her adoption fee covers:✅ Spay✅ Vaccines✅ Microchip✅ Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Nani? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJuly 4, 2026, 8:09 am

Story
Molly is a bright, energetic Lab/Border Collie mix with a goofy streak that will keep you smiling every day! This playful girl is always ready for her next adventure—whether it’s a game of fetch, a long walk, or just zooming around the yard showing off her silly side. She thrives on activity and would love a home that can keep up with her fun-loving energy. Because of her enthusiasm, Molly would do best with older kids who can match her playful spirit. She absolutely loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to wrestle and romp with. However, Molly has a strong chase instinct and will chase cats, so a feline-free home is a must.Molly is looking for an active family who will embrace both her energetic nature and her goofy personality. In return, she’ll be a loyal, entertaining companion who fills your days with laughter, love, and plenty of playtime! What her adoption fee covers:✅ Spay✅ Vaccines✅ Microchip✅ Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Molly? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJuly 4, 2026, 8:09 am

She has a happy personality and enjoys spending her days exploring, playing, and making new friends. Whether she's out on an adventure, learning something new, or relaxing beside her favorite people, Lana is happiest when she's included in everyday life. As a Border Collie / Terrier Mix, Lana combines the remarkable intelligence and eagerness to learn of the Border Collie with the confidence, curiosity, and spirited personality of the Terrier. She is quick to pick up new skills and enjoys activities that keep both her mind and body engaged. Positive reinforcement, consistency, and plenty of encouragement will help her reach her full potential. Lana enjoys staying active and would thrive with regular walks, interactive play, puzzle toys, hiking, or training games that allow her to use her intelligence. She also has a loving, affectionate side and enjoys relaxing with her family after a fun-filled day. Lana would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and active play Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being She is at a wonderful age where she has the playful enthusiasm of a young dog while continuing to mature into a loyal, well-mannered companion. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like many rescue dogs, Lana may need time to adjust to a new home, routine, and environment. Even friendly, social dogs benefit from patience and consistency during the transition period. Most rescue dogs arrive with varying levels of training, so adopters should be prepared to continue reinforcing household manners and routines. Lana is intelligent, eager to please, and responds exceptionally well to positive reinforcement, making training both rewarding and enjoyable. Lana will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Mental stimulation through interactive games and learning opportunities Regular exercise to help channel her energy Patience and consistency Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, love, and guidance, Lana will blossom into a confident, devoted, and lifelong companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, companionship, and routine veterinary care. Lana will need: Daily walks, exercise, and active play Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and parasite prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Continued training and mental enrichment A safe, stable indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, regular exercise, emotional support, and daily companionship will help Lana live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life. Story
WOOF! I'M ROCCO! I'm a 2-year-old Border Collie-Flat-Coat mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was recently rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was impounded as a stray. I then was adopted, but returned less than 24 hours later as someone in the house had allergies. Fortunately I was rescued and now am ready for a foster or forever home! I have done great with other dogs and am a happy, playful boy. I love to play with other dogs and hang out with humans. I weigh 59 lbs. Could you foster or adopt me? I'm currently in California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.
