Here's what you need to know about me:.Adopt me on the 4th of December and my fee is waived! It's the Craig Stein Yappy Hour and we're honoring our friend Craig by waiving adoption fees for all pets. And every pet adopted during the promotion will also receive a branded bandana and a starter kit with food, treats, and toys!I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I'd like a home where my family is home often. I'm just really social and love spending time with people, I prefer to not be left alone for long periods.I need to be the only pet. I'm not comfortable sharing my space or my stuff with other animals. I prefer to be the center of attention!I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please speak to an adoption counselor. Primary Color: Black Weight: 55.375 Age: 3yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
He was takin in by us because a friend couldn’t care for him anymore. Now we’re at the point where we can’t afford him anymore either. Trigger is almost 2 years old. He’s good with kids, doesn’t show much interest in staying around kids. He likes to follow his owners around. He also has separation anxiety problems. He has to be put in a kennel when leaving the house, he will chew up stuff if left out of kennel. Home type were looking for is someone who can give him the attention he needs

Story
Milo is a wonderful, active dog. The ideal owner for him would be an active person who loves to walk or run. He LOVES to play ball and can catch very well. He is crate trained and knows a few tricks. He loves all people and other dogs. A fenced in back yard is a must and the fence must be at least 6 feet tall. Very sweet and loving, needs stimulation! Very good if you have to take him to the vet.

Story
Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Henry is about a year old and he is the best boy. He looks like a small great pyrenees but also like an all white border collie. His build and energy is definitely more border collie like. He looooves to play with other dogs and run and play in the water. He is outgoing and confident and very smart. He is also great with cats. He would do really well in active household that enjoys outdoor activities or on a farm where he gets to help with daily chores. Another playful dog in the home would be a bonus. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below.
