Story
Scoot is spunky & has a great spirit. At home he normally has good house manners. He is curious, smart, eager to learn, and a star with the trainers, but needs a lot of structure and mental stimulation. He is good with dogs at the park, and has learned to coexist with other dogs in their space, but takes time to learn its okay. Before me, he was a stray (picked up by the humane society), so he has issues with reactivity. He walks on lead well, but barks & lunges if dogs get too close. Over time he has improved a lot here, but will need continued training around this. He is very sensitive to being touched, especially by new people. He does bond quickly if you are gentle and engage with him on his level, but has nipped in the past when people don't respect his boundaries. He barks when people come to the house, but settles down shortly with treats and play. In a patient home with space, structure, and more time than I can give him, he will be a fantastic dog.

Story
Oreo is a loving border collie who can relax at home but wants someone to train him and give him a job. He was taken in from a stranger about a two years ago and lived out in rural Washington before moving to urban Oregon. He barks at other dogs on walks but has been to a dog park a few times and had a dog friend visit and was not aggressive. He has separation anxiety but has yet to try professional training or medications. All in all he is very attuned to the people around him and can be snuggly to those he loves. The house has tried their best for him but he needs more space and more experienced owners going forward.

Story
This cutie is Brandy. She is currently 2 months old and weighs approximately 9lbs. We think they may be a border collie/ Australian shepherd mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Brandy’s playful personality here: https://youtu.be/eONmEGF4N5w?si=SnjARUCoETxUljRa Brandy is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Brandy is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Milo Miles is his name and he is a ridiculously cute, border collie looking boy with a bright brain, solid manners, and a curled tail that looks like it is signing autographs as he walks by. Milo is estimated to be just shy of 7 months old, he weighs 38 lbs andalthough he has some border collie looks, he doesn't have the classic high-energy work force typically synonymous with the breed. It’s a best guess. Border collie mix (with the usual rescue disclaimer: DNA results not included, charm absolutely is). Want to see Milo Miles and his good-boy basics in action? Head to YouTube- https://youtu.be/HuQwKpAUCFQ Milo is thriving in a loving foster home, and it shows- he’s both house and crate-trained, lives peacefully with two dogs, a cat, and a teenager, and already understands the rhythm of home life. On leash, he’s got great basic skills and the kind of smarts that makes training feel like teamwork instead of a chore. His vibe is medium energy: ready to learn, ready to explore, and very ready to come back inside and be a calm, easy roommate. Milo is welcoming when meeting new people but doesn’t rush into commitments or labels. He likes to get to know you, observe, sniff, and then decides if you’re officially in the friends or besties category. Give him that beat, and he opens up beautifully, especially once he’s had a proper introduction and can relax into the moment. Same Milo. Same. He’s the kind of pup who appreciates respectful handling and prefers his affection without any forced hugs or grabby cuddles, basically let Milo choose the love lane and he will set the cruise control. With other dogs, Milo meets with eager confidence then moves into doing his own things. In playgroups he tends to wander and sniff while the dogs play but his foster he has and shows his full “dog friend” personality. He’s food-motivated (hello, training cheat code), showed no concerns around food with people or dogs, and once he’s inside he’s relaxed and his foster confirmed- easy to live with. Cat notes: Milo lives with a cat and was raised with one, so he may do well with a dog-savvy cat who won’t be offended by a curious youngster who occasionally will playfully chase. If living with a cat in the home he would benefit from having a playful dog buddy so all of his playfulness isnt directed at the cat. Milo will benefit all around by having a dog buddy in the home, and while he’s medium energy and generally quiet, he is best suited in a home with space or an active lifestyle. Apartment life could work for an active family, but given his age and eagerness to learn more about the big-wide-world he is not a “simple short stroll and done” kind of boy. If you’re looking for a smart, trainable, growing boy who’s already polished in the basics, Milo Miles is ready and waiting to take on the role as your adoring sidekick. Story
I thought my dog would enjoy a more active companion and adopted her from a family who has cats and just had a baby. She was getting food aggressive with their cats. Sadly it has been three months and my dog gets jealous and attacks her at random. Coco is a very loving 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog. She has anxiety mostly around a lot of coming and going and would be best in a home where she is the only pet as she does get a bit jealous. She loves sitting, sleeping and being with her person(s) and doesn't like to be in a separate room then them (been working on this). She is crate trained for when we are working as she is not trustworthy by herself (gets into garbage/counters) she is doing much better, but still is best kept in the crate. She loves playing with other dogs, but does get jealous of attention from her person (s) to another animal. She is on Fluoxitine (1/day), Gabapentin (3 per day) and sometimes Trazadone. If she had less triggers, she would be able lower pill
