Max was rehomed to us at one year and has been a wonderful addition to our family. Unfortunately my breathing has gotten worse and I need to live in a pet free home. Max is a happy, intelligent four year old that loves to look out the window and keep track of the world, play soccer and just hang out. He has a kind loving temperament and loves follow you around and be close to you.

Choncho is an international rescue. He is smart and very affectionate. He’s also excellent with children. He, however, doesn’t like cats. He’s perfect for a household where he is the family mascot.

Milo Miles is his name and he is a ridiculously cute, border collie looking boy with a bright brain, solid manners, and a curled tail that looks like it is signing autographs as he walks by. Milo is estimated to be just shy of 7 months old, he weighs 38 lbs andalthough he has some border collie looks, he doesn't have the classic high-energy work force typically synonymous with the breed. On leash, he’s got great basic skills and the kind of smarts that makes training feel like teamwork instead of a chore. His vibe is medium energy: ready to learn, ready to explore, and very ready to come back inside and be a calm, easy roommate. Milo is welcoming when meeting new people but doesn’t rush into commitments or labels. He likes to get to know you, observe, sniff, and then decides if you’re officially in the friends or besties category. Give him that beat, and he opens up beautifully, especially once he’s had a proper introduction and can relax into the moment. Same Milo. Same. He’s the kind of pup who appreciates respectful handling and prefers his affection without any forced hugs or grabby cuddles, basically let Milo choose the love lane and he will set the cruise control. With other dogs, Milo meets with eager confidence then moves into doing his own things. In playgroups he tends to wander and sniff while the dogs play but his foster he has and shows his full “dog friend” personality. He’s food-motivated (hello, training cheat code), showed no concerns around food with people or dogs, and once he’s inside he’s relaxed and his foster confirmed- easy to live with. Cat notes: Milo lives with a cat and was raised with one, so he may do well with a dog-savvy cat who won’t be offended by a curious youngster who occasionally will playfully chase. If living with a cat in the home he would benefit from having a playful dog buddy so all of his playfulness isnt directed at the cat. Milo will benefit all around by having a dog buddy in the home, and while he’s medium energy and generally quiet, he is best suited in a home with space or an active lifestyle. Apartment life could work for an active family, but given his age and eagerness to learn more about the big-wide-world he is not a “simple short stroll and done” kind of boy. This cutie is Brandy. She is currently 3 months old and weighs approximately 19lbs. We think they may be a border collie/ Australian shepherd mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. Freckles across his nose, a little black “Batman mask,” happy tippy-taps when he’s excited, and a heart that clearly wants to belong… this is Holliday. Equal parts goofy charm and affectionate shadow, Holliday is the kind of dog who leans all the way into love. His biggest dream? A couch, a person, and permission to pretend he’s a lap dog. From the moment you meet him, Holliday’s affectionate nature is easy to see. He absolutely lights up when people give him attention and has a charming little habit of doing “tippy taps” with his feet when he’s happy or excited. It’s the kind of happy motion that makes everyone around him smile whether they are meeting for the first time or its a familiar connection. And inside its only sweeter, he is affectionate and his aspirations for lap-dog life really shine. Holliday is more than happy to make the first move and will come in close to soak up the love and lean in for a new nestling nose kisses. He is still learning some of the everyday things that come with the cozy life as a family dog. For example, couches were a new concept to him. When invited up, he wasn’t quite sure how to get there at first and needed a little boost. Moments like that tell us he’s likely still discovering what a comfortable home life looks like. The good news is that he’s eager to connect with people, smart and very responsive to guidance, which makes him a wonderful boy to open your heart and home to. On leash, Holliday is enthusiastic and currently pulls a bit, especially when he sees other dogs he’d like to meet. Much of his life before rescue life was spent on a very short leash outdoors so the world is understandably very exciting to him right now. With a confident understanding handler he has been making great progress with continued leash training. He is also very responsive to direction, correction, and listens well when told “no.” With other dogs, Holliday shows friendly curiosity. When meeting dogs he likes to sniff hello and then wander off to explore the yard. Play is still a bit of a mystery to him, but with the right dog companion we have seen he learns quickly and is easily invited to play even if she doesn’t know the steps after that. When meeting new dogs he reads them well and respects boundaries and limits easily. We can see him being a wonderful fit for a home with medium-energy, similarly sized dogs. Holliday is also very food motivated, which is wonderful for training. He eats enthusiastically and takes treats gently. Because Holliday can be a little jumpy, which he is working on, when he’s excited to receive affection, we think he’ll do best in a home with older kids who won’t be knocked over by his enthusiastic greetings. His affection truly comes from a joyful place and is gentle, not rough or heavy footed. He just hasn’t quite learned yet that hugs don’t always have to involve all four feet leaving the ground, but some people do enjoy those big, warm dog hugs. A home with a yard would be ideal for Holliday while he continues building his leash skills, giving him space to stretch his legs and explore safely. With time, guidance, and a loving environment, we think this freckled little masked hero is going to blossom into a wonderful, lap-loving, whole-new-world companion and sidekick.
