Story
Hi, I'm Bentley! I'm a 1-year-old, 56-pound bundle of energy, personality, and potential, and I'm looking for a family who loves a smart, playful pup with plenty of enthusiasm for life. I'm a treat-loving guy who enjoys learning new things, showing off my skills, and staying busy with toys, games, and activities. I'm a bright boy who responds well to guidance and positive reinforcement. I enjoy playing with toys and I love having something fun to focus on. I'm still learning that not every interaction needs to be at full speed, so a family willing to help me channel my energy and continue building my confidence will help me be my best self. If you're looking for an active, silly, affectionate companion who will keep you entertained and bring lots of fun into your life, Bentley might just be your perfect match!*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions. Hi, I'm Sparta! I'm a handsome 1-year-old, 62-pound pup with a big personality and plenty of energy! I'm playful, affectionate, and love spending time with my people. I'm still young and learning my manners, so I'll need a family who can continue guiding me with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I enjoy playing with other dogs and have a fun, energetic play style, so I'll do best with a family who can help me learn when it's time to play and when it's time to settle. If you're looking for a silly, active companion who's ready to learn and make lots of memories, I could be your guy!*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 62 Age: 1yrs 3mths 2wks

Story
Meet Chai! ☕ This adorable 7–9-month-old, 40-pound Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer mix is equal parts goofy, energetic, and professional belly-rub enthusiast.Chai can be a little shy with new people and needs time and patience to feel comfortable, but once she trusts you, her sweet personality comes shining through. She loves toys, chewing, tug-of-war, and hanging out on the couch—especially if belly rubs are involved. She’s also very treat-motivated and knows “sit,” making her a fun pup to train.Chai is house- and crate-trained, rides well in the car, and generally has good manners, although she may occasionally counter-surf or steal a piece of dirty laundry. She’s still working on her leash skills and is currently pretty nervous about leashes, so her adopter will need to patiently help her build confidence. She gets along great with other dogs and would love a confident, playful canine sibling to show her the ropes. She can get a little excited around cats and may chase them, so dog-savvy cats would be best. Because Chai can be mouthy and likes to jump when excited, she’d do best with older children. And then there’s Chai’s special talent: sirens are her cue to join the choir. She happily howls along like she’s answering a very important call from the neighborhood pack. She also has a hilarious habit of stealing tennis balls right out of other dogs’ mouths.Chai would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, a confident dog sibling, and people who understand that shy dogs need time to find their confidence. She’s a high-energy puppy who is ready for walks, training, playtime, and plenty of couch cuddles afterward. If you’re looking for a goofy, sweet girl with a big personality and an even bigger howl, Chai might just be your cup of tea. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Stanley! Stanley is a 2-year-old, 45lb Border Collie mix who is the perfect blend of playful young dog and professional couch cuddler! If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, Stanley is your guy. ❤️He is potty trained, kennel trained, and leash trained, and his favorite place to be is right by your side on the couch. Stanley generally does well with other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion. He does have some food resource guarding tendencies, so he should be fed separately in his crate.Stanley would do best with a family or someone looking for a younger dog who already has the basics down. He would do best with another dog and is not a match for a home with cats.If your ideal dog is young, house-trained, affectionate, and happiest snuggled up beside you, Stanley may be your perfect match! ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Meet Gus Gus is an under-one-year-old Collie, Shepherd & Chihuahua mix who is equal parts cuddle bug, couch potato, and adventure buddy! He can be a little shy at first, especially around big or tall people, but give him some patience, kindness, and a little cheese, and you’ll quickly see his sweet personality shine. Once he trusts you, Gus is an affectionate little “Velcro dog” who loves curling up in your lap, getting belly rubs, falling asleep in your arms, and being by your side.Gus also has an adventurous streak! He loves running, exploring, visiting the dog park, playing with other dogs, and discovering new things. He’s just as happy relaxing on the couch as he is heading out for an adventure—and he absolutely loves when you talk to him.Gus gets along well with other dogs and isn’t territorial or food-aggressive. He knows “sit” and is continuing to work on his leash and crate skills. He’s making great progress and learning that his leash and crate are safe, positive things. And if you’re wondering about his favorite snack, the answer is easy: cheese! Gus is looking for a person who wants a loyal best friend to share everyday life, adventures, and plenty of cuddles. He may be young, but he already knows that the best place to be is right by his person’s side. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
