You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I'm little Pedrito, I'm a 22lb, 1 year old bundle of love! I am a pretty shy little boy, still scared of this world - but I love being around loving kind people, and when I'm comfortable and feel safe, I really love to get pets! I am used to the crate and have been a really good boy - I just need a kind, gentle and loving human to help me learn the rest. I love to play with other dogs and would do best with a doggy sibling in my forever home, too! I live with 12 dog friends right now. I even know how to use a dog door! I'm calm and playful, a good mix - I just want to trust and love, will that be you? I would love to meet you and find my forever home! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there, I’m Mama Bea!  I am a six year old female border collie mix.  I am the perfect size at 45 pounds.     I bond quickly to my human and will talk to you when I want something.  I don’t bark much:  it’s more of a hum and a mumble.  You’ll soon find out what I mean!   Because I am a working dog, I like to keep busy.  I would do best in a home with other dogs.  I will model their behavior and partner with them to get all the important things done!  I love to play in the backyard, or just snoop around.  A backyard for me is a must in my future home.  We should definitely plan on some time everyday to go on walks and check out the neighborhood.   Speaking of exercise, I want to go on lots of hikes with you!   I would do well in a home with school age children (8+) who want to pay me lots of attention.  I’m working on not jumping up, so they need to stand up to my affection.   I am really curious about cats and will chase them, so I would do best in a home without them.  Let me look at the squirrels in the trees all day long!   I am a super smart girl and already know basic obedience.  I’d love to practice it more, in order to form a tight bond with my person.   I am house trained and kennel trained.  My kennel is not my favorite place, but the good news is, you can trust me to be loose in the house, unattended, and I won't destroy anything.  I will sleep at the foot of your bed in a dog bed all night and I you might catch me snoozing on the couch during the day.   I’m a little shy meeting new people at first, but give me a chance and I’ll warm up to you quickly.  If you’d like to meet me, please fill out an application for adoption and my foster mom will get in touch with you:   https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 7, 2024, 10:09 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey Hey! My name is Paulmer and I’m ready for fun! I’ve been in my foster home for a while now, getting ready for adoption. I didn’t know what to think of humans when I first got here, but my foster family has shown me that people are pretty great! Now I’m ready to find my own family. I’m a great adventure buddy. I love car rides and walks, and I’m off-leash trained with my foster mom. It’ll take a minute to get to that point with a new family, but once I do, let’s go all the places and do all the things together! I’ll stay right with you like a good, loyal boy. Also, guess what. I can swim! I’m a certified water dog. Let’s go into the mountains, let’s hike and paddleboard and swim and run – I’m ready! Okay, actually, I’m still kind of shy. I still need some safe exposure and socialization with new things. It will probably take me a while to trust you the way I trust my foster family. But I want you to know, I’m ready for that! I can’t wait to learn to love you. One thing I’m definitely ready for is doggie friends. I’m a great buddy to dogs, so if your dog is looking for a buddy, it might just be me! I’m crate trained and potty trained and ready to meet you. Story
Ferdinand probably hasn't had the easiest life, but his history is a mystery. He transferred to HSU from a rural shelter near the Fish Lake National Forest, where he came in as a stray at the beginning of September. Once he transferred to HSU, our veterinarian neutered him, gave him a dental, and removed the worst of his teeth. Since he came in looking a bit "ruff", he had a blood test, and everything was normal. Ferdinand has a growth on his lip that makes it look kind of like he's pouting, but it doesn't bother him. Just a cute little quirk. A piece of his ear is missing, and he has some scars and scrapes, some missing fur, and some worn teeth and nails. We're estimating his age to be 8 years old, so you can name your own price to adopt him, and he'll go home with a care package. Ferd is looking for a cat-free home as he finds them too tempting. We always recommend slow introductions between shelter pets and resident pets, but he might enjoy a dog friend. He's a country boy who might need some time to adjust to the noisy big city. He stayed with a family for a day and they said he was great with the child in the home. Ferdinand is so grateful for a cozy bed, some gentle affection, and a squeaky toy or two. He isn't picky about snacks, and will sniff out any crumb left on the ground. He's a curious guy who likes to explore with his superpowered nose. While we're not sure if he's housetrained, he prefers to potty outside here at HSU. He knows "sit", and perhaps some other cues. Want to show Ferdinand all the comforts he might have been missing out on all these years? Come take him for a walk at the Humane Society of Utah.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here’s the 411. I was cruising around the streets in Central Utah when the local Sheriff’s office decided that wasn’t a good thing. There was the old good cop/bad cop routine because I came into their holding pen packin’. I played along and answered their questions. Name: Olive M age: 1 1/2 yrs breed: Heeler/Hound mix (best guess) weight: 42 lbs. I wouldn’t give in to the question of how much I was packing, (I didn’t know!). The Sheriff knew I couldn’t stay and an arrangement was made for me to go to a rescue and that’s how I came to be with Rescue Rovers and my fosters. I’m so glad they took me in! I’m no longer packing pups; I delivered 6 beautiful pups and now I’m looking for my forever home. I’m house trained and walk well on a leash with the right collar. I’m timid with people I haven’t met but once I know & trust you I will be by your side and a good companion. I LOVE to play fetch! Being a submissive dog, a firm but gentle hand will do for me with encouragement to get me to follow your direction. My energy level is med-high. I need a home with children 8 and older because I’m unsure of younger kids; their movements are scary for me. I’m a hound mix and small animals are prey to me so no cats please!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Flow. I’m working on finding my forever home. I’m a sweet girl, beautiful too. I get a lot of compliments on how pretty I am and how different my brindle coloring is. I am a cattle dog mix, 2.5 years old and about 35 pounds. I’m a sweet, spunky spirit that is looking for a home that can help me find my flow with them. I’m good with other dogs off leash, with a slow introduction. I do not know if I’m good with cats as my foster is allergic. I’m energetic and sweet. If I have structure I follow along. I would love a home with a yard that I can play in. I love to chase toys and bring them back (most of the time). I enjoy cuddling on the sofa when I’m worn out. If it’s nap time, I’m a good napper. I’m good in the crate at night and when you have to go out and about. Sometimes I even have my own nap time in my crate for a small break. I had a foster with a doggie door and I thought that was the best thing ever! I didn’t have any accidents and knew to go outside. My current foster lives in a condo and I’m learning to walk on a leash. I am learning to be social and see the world. I’m a bit scared of new things as I haven’t had much experience in the big world. I’m VERY smart and pick up new things quickly. I’ve been working with a trainer on walking on a leash. I’m reactive but very treat motivated so just give me a little more time and I will be the best hiking buddy ever! I’m also working on my manners. I respect the word “no.” I’ve learned to sit. I’ve learned “down.” No one has ever told me that I shouldn’t get up on counters before now, I get it now. I would do best in an active family, with a yard. Since I am learning to socialize and have a bit of fear of the world (which I am conquering every day). I would do best without young children since I scare easily. I will be a great forever pet. I’ve been told that I’m good with other dogs off leash, but my current foster doesn’t have places to take me off leash. I would do well with a confident doggie sibling that could help me find the structure in your life. I love people and just need a slow introduction. Are you interested in bringing me into your life? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I’m spot on your best girl. See what I did there? I’m Manchas, a 1.5-year-old cattle dog mix weighing 26 lbs. I may be a little tripod, but I’m big on cuddles and playing tug. I’m a pro at dropping and laying down for love. I adore all people, kids, and dogs my size or smaller. I spent some time on the streets, so I’m a bit guarded with new dogs at first, but I warm up once I get to know them. I’m crate and potty trained, and though I sometimes mess up, can you really stay mad at me?
