You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Ily! Which is short for I love you, because we guarantee she does, Ily knows no strangers! This sweet girl is 55 pounds of pure goodness! Ily is for sure an intelligent mixed breed, our best guess is some sort of a cattle dog/border collie mix. She would be a fun girl to get a DNA test for!   As afore mentioned Ily loves EVERYONE! She has yet to meet kids, but would likely be a huge fan. Ily does really well with her foster dog siblings she is usually submissive with them and has great and respectful body language when asking to play. Ily is house broken and crate trained! She quickly figured out the doggy door and is always a good girl about taking herself out to go potty.    Ily’s favorite activities are playing with other dogs, chewing on her toys on a fat fluffy bed, and tossing them around the house so she can pounce on them (as far as we know she has no cat DNA in her bloodline), and getting all the loves.    Ily has been really great at practicing not jumping up when she is struggling to contain her excitement to see you. Ily runs into her crate on command and knows how to sit. Ily loves food and is extremely treat motivated in her training. She is learning the leash and always improving!   Ily has yet to meet a cat but would likely adjust to living with them in the right home. Ily needs love, walks, and good structure in her home and she will flourish. This lady is a delightful companion!   If you’re looking for a special valentine this year then apply to meet Ily @ https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2026, 1:14 pm

Meet Benito – Your Happy-Go-Lucky Adventure Buddy! Basic Info: Name: Benito Breed: Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog Mix Sex: Male DOB: April 10, 2022 Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: April 9, 2024 Personality – Happy, Playful & Full of Zest: Benito is pure sunshine on four paws! Always ready to play, explore, or lean in for a pet, he’s got an infectiously joyful personality that will keep a smile on your face. He loves interactive games, running around the yard, and getting belly rubs. Benito thrives on connection and fun—he’s a dog who wants to be in the middle of the action and part of the family. With him, every day is a new adventure. Breed Information: As a mix of Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog, Benito is naturally intelligent, alert, and active. These working breeds are known for their stamina, loyalty, and sharp minds. Benito will benefit from regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him balanced and happy. Puzzle toys, training sessions, and active play will help him shine. He’s eager to learn and eager to please! Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise: walks, play, fetch, or dog sports Offer mental stimulation through training, puzzles, and games Use positive reinforcement training—Benito is smart and responsive Maintain regular veterinary care and vaccinations Ensure he’s part of the family, not left alone for long periods Provide structure, patience, and love Create a safe, indoor home environment Commitment for Life: Benito is not a short-term companion—he's a lifelong partner. Adopting him means committing to his care, well-being, and happiness for all of his days. He needs a family that understands that dogs are not disposable—they are forever. In return, Benito will give you loyalty, laughter, and love every single day. Do Not Leash Your Dog Outside Unattended: Benito should never be tied up or left outdoors alone. He needs companionship, safety, and interaction. Tethering a dog outside is not only dangerous but also deeply unfair to a social, intelligent dog like Benito. He deserves to be inside, where he can be close to his people and thrive. Why Adopt Benito? Because Benito brings joy wherever he goes. He’s playful without being overwhelming, smart without being stubborn, and affectionate without being clingy. He’s the perfect match for an active individual or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a big heart. Adopt Benito and experience the happiness of having a dog who truly loves life—and loves you. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Jazzper! I’m a 5-year-old male Aussie mix with a big heart and a sharp mind. I’ve been with one family since I was a puppy and now I’m ready for a new forever home. While I didn’t get much early exposure to other dogs, I grew up absolutely loving people. I bond deeply with my humans and enjoy being part of their daily life. New dogs make me uncomfortable, so I’m reactive to unfamiliar dogs and will need to be the only pet in my forever home—but trust me, I have more than enough love and personality to fill it. I thrive when I’m active and engaged. Walks and hikes are some of my favorite things, and I do best with a person who enjoys getting outside and can give me both physical exercise and mental stimulation every day. I’m a herding breed mix, after all—my brain likes a job! I’m already housetrained, kennel trained, and muzzle trained, which helps me stay safe and successful in the world while I keep learning. My ideal forever family will be experienced, patient, and committed to helping me be my best self. I should live in a home without kids under 12, and I need someone who will continue my obedience training with a dedicated trainer who understands reactive herding dogs. With the right structure, guidance, and consistency, I shine. If you’re an active person looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to work, learn, and adventure by your side, I might just be your perfect match. Could you be the family for me? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Ethan!  I’m a 9-month-old happy boy and I currently weigh about 31 pounds, but I’ll probably be around 40 pounds when I’m all grown up I’m listed as a black lab mix, but my foster mom thinks I might have some pit bull in me too — whatever I am, I promise I’m very handsome and very sweet. I absolutely love people. Meeting new friends is my favorite, and I’m a big fan of cuddles, kisses, and playtime. I get along amazing with other dogs, big or small, and I’d love a doggy sibling.  I’m a smart pup and I try really hard to be good. I’m crate trained, potty trained with a dog door, and I learn new tricks super fast. I already know sit, lay down, and crawl! I’m also very food motivated, so training me is easy and fun. I have the perfect mix of energy — I’m always ready to go for walks, play, or adventures, but I’m just as happy to chill and cuddle when it’s time to relax. Because I’m still young and learning my manners, I would do best in a home with kids over 8 years old, since I’m still working on not jumping on people when I get excited. I love toys, being with my people, and making everyone around me smile. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, fun-loving best friend, I might just be your guy. I can’t wait to meet my forever family. Apply to me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2026, 4:11 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, potential families! We are the literary litter – all named after influential authors. We are Steinbeck, Twain, Hawthorne, Burroughs, Richardson, Bradbury and Bierce. We are looking for our very own families who will help us write our stories! Let us set the scene. We were living in a rural shelter. It was a bit cold and hopeless feeling, without much potential for “Happily ever after”. However, the people who worked there were so nice and caring! They said “Let’s try a rescue.” Rescue Rovers said yes (!) and the seven of us boys came to our foster home! It’s been pretty great since then. We get regular meals, soft warm blankets, other dogs to play with, even a little boy to run around with. We’ve really enjoyed our time here, but it’s time to begin our next chapter. A little backstory for you – we are listed as cattle dog mixes (looks like some pittie in the mix!) and we are 3 months old. We are fun and playful pups, and we are smart, too! We are 50% or more on our potty training and we come running if our foster mom whistles. We’re looking for homes full of love, mostly. We’d also love to be active, go to training classes and have other dogs or kids to play with. We’re ready to find you! Are you ready for us? Apply to meet us today at or come meet us at the Riverton IFA adoption event this Saturday! PS - We don’t want to lean too heavily on foreshadowing, but we’re pretty sure you’re going to love us. Howlooo, i'm Steinbeck and I'm an intelligent and thoughtful as the author I'm named for. I love snuggles and I love to play. My favorite games are tug and chase the ball. I am learning how to walk on a leash, learning, indoor manners, including potty outside. I was introduced to the dog door and some other basic commands. I haven't mastered yet, but I'm working on it. My foster mom highly recommends training because it will bond us together and keep my very big very smart brain on track. I am a working dog and I need work training gives me work to do so I don't find my own work and your house stays pristine.
