Story
It is with a heavy heart that we are having to rehome our 3-year-old border collie mix, Koda. I have loved this dog. We rescued Koda with the intention of him being a forever part of our family, but unfortunately, he isn’t getting along with our other dog and has been showing signs of dominance. Koda does have a few behavioral issues listed below. He needs to be in a single dog home and needs a backyard for his energy! Koda has a lot energy and thrives on mental stimulation and activities. He is kennel trained and will play outside with a ball all day if you’d let him! Absolutely obsessed with fetch, running and playing, this dog will surly get your exercise in! He is a very sweet dog who needs someone to be patient with him. He could use some training. Koda has some anxiety and can whine, has the occasional accident but knows to go outside. He does bark at the fence sometimes. He will come with his kennel and bed, a small bag of his food, his favorite toys, treats, and blanket.

Story
Looking for a loyal companion? Meet Mama Angel! She might be your new best friend! This beautiful, bouncy, black beauty weighs 50 pounds and is approximately 2 years old. She is being fostered in Houston, Texas (we transport across the USA) with dogs 7-120 pounds, male and female, and is a favorite of the dog pack. She isn’t a HUGE player, but she does LOVE to run and chase with her 12 pound foster sister. They are so cute to watch, zooming around the house and bouncing from couch to couch. It is like watching a game of hide and seek that you can’t help laughing at. Even though Mama Angel is dog friendly, she would love to be the queen of the house, so we are adopting her out as an only dog. She wants to keep her toys and people to herself! Do not adopt her if you prefer to sit on the couch to drink your coffee alone or watch TV. Every morning when her foster mom comes downstairs she greets her like she has been gone for weeks. She bounces around, wags her tail and wiggles her bottom then races her to the couch to claim her spot next to foster mom while she enjoys her cup of coffee. Evenings after dinner are no different- or anytime Angel thinks her humans are headed to the couch. She loves to sniff your face and stare into your eyes. Angel doesn’t mind going in her crate. We just tell her to “get in bed”, toss in a treat and she will go right in. Once in the crate she is quiet until she hears you come home. Then she makes sure you know she is ready to see you! Potty trained? Yes! She hasn’t had any accidents in her foster’s house where she goes out on a regular schedule. Car rides… Yes! Her foster family had to work on building her confidence so she can go to new places. She is still a little nervous in loud busy environments and will stick close to her people but she has gotten so much better so fast. She needs a family who will continue to help her know she is safe outside the home. She is great on a leash when she is comfortable and in a quiet place like the park. Cat friendly? She does not live with cats, but she has met cats and did not seem interested. If you have a feline in your life we can have her spend more time with a cat to see how she does. If you are looking for a furry angelic love bug to add to your life, apply below and a foster coordinator will reach out to you. The adoption fee is $750 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Hi! Stella is my name and playing is my game! I am a ~1 yr old border collie x German shepherd mix and I am a ball of energy! Four hour hike? No problem. Ten mile trail run? Bring it on! I'm a super social girl who loves to play with other dogs (cats are also really fun to chase, so probably best that I go to a home without them). I'm not big on snuggling; but, once I have my exercise fix for the day I will settle down nicely next to you on the floor. My ideal home would be one that has a big fenced back yard and some active adults (no kids for me please) who want to take me on all of their outdoor adventures. I am learning to like my crate and not to pull so much on a leash. I am house-broken, spayed and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org
