This handsome boy is Fluffy! He is 4-6 years old and incredibly happy and healthy at 48 lbs. He is half Border Collie half Golden Retriever. He loves to lay in his cage with the door open to take a nap. He enjoys running around the backyard playing with the other dogs but also will take a nice nap in the grass. Some of his favorite things are riding in the car, hanging out with people and other dogs, a head scratch and dog treats. Fluffy is calm in the house, very low key but active outside. He likes to hang out with everybody out in the yard and does a good job of staying close. He's always smiling and will follow you in the house and wherever you are staying. He will just lay down and take a nap. He rarely barks and he just likes to hang out with his family. Fluffy it's working on his leash skills, Plus sit and stay. Fluffy is looking for a family that will love him as much as he will love them. His adoption fee is $450. He is located in Antioch IL. He is completely vetted. Laika is 36 lbs and 3-4 years old. This sweet girl loves chasing and often retrieving balls in the house and outdoors. She loves to sniff around off-leash in a fenced back yard. Turn on your garden sprinkler and she will be entertained and exercised. Laika initiates belly runs and gives kisses to her foster mom as a thank you. Laika is more dominant than Layla and has a strong herding drive, so we recommend a home with no children, cats or small critters. She's a little nervous meeting new people and dogs, which we are working on. Laika is spayed and fully vaccinated. She will need a fenced yard and an experienced handler with a strong understanding of the breed and a willingness to provide lots of exercise and tennis balls. Valentino is fostered in Waukesha, WI. These sweet little nuggets were born in an over-crowded Kansas shelter. Momma Vixen and her 3 babies were brought into rescue when the pups were 1 week old. The puppies are now ready to find their adoptive homes. Vader is a male Mini Australian Shepherd (Mini American Shepherd) Border Collie mix that will remain on the smaller size, as their momma is only 25 lbs. He was born on 03/24/2025. Of the three siblings, Valentino has already shown he's the most confident in this litter. He is always front & centered the moment a human walks in to the room & is always the first to explore a new sight or sound. He is doing GREAT on potty training and will need to stay on a schedule to continue to be successful. Aussie and Border Collie pups need to be socialized with the world around them once adopted. They need to be exposed to various types of stimuli and have already learned so much from being in their foster home. If you have never had an Aussie, Border Collie or a working dog before, we recommend doing a little research before committing to this high energy working breed! He will need a MINIMUM of 2-3 hours of exercise throughout the day. Valentino is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. Meet Lincoln....... Lincoln is an adorable young boy, thought to be a Border Collie Mix. Like Border Collies, he’s very smart, a quick learner, very alert and quite energetic!! At age 9 months, he weighs 38 lbs. It is most important to note that we cannot be 100% sure of his adult weight, but our best guess is about 40ish lbs. This handsome boy joined BAARK from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky earlier this year. He is thought to have been born around December 23, 2022. He was a scared little puppy when entering our rescue program but has come out of his shell and has evolved into a playful, sociable, and somewhat mischievous boy. Lincoln is great with dogs outside of his foster home, but can be protective of his home and human, indoors. Most likely Lincoln would prefer being an only dog, receiving all the attention he deserves. However he could to ok with a calm easy-going female. He would probably be far too energetic for a senior (dog or human!) An ideal family for Lincoln is one able to assimilate the energy of a young boy into its lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Lincoln to be his best self! A secure, above-ground fenced yard is important. Lincoln would not thrive as an apartment dweller. Lincoln is crate-trained and is working on good house manners (housebreaking). He is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventative. He is neutered and microchipped as well. .
