Adoption fee: $650     Meet Bumper Car — Your Future Best Friend   Bumper Car is a 3 month old Boxer/German Shepherd mix, currently around 20 lbs. and growing into a strong, handsome pup. He’s part of the “Fair” litter and was raised in a home with kids before coming into rescue, so he’s already comfortable around people and everyday life. He’s proving to be exactly what you hope for in a puppy — affectionate, social, and full of personality.     Personality: Happy, Loving, and Always Nearby   Bumper Car is a classic love-bug puppy. He naturally gravitates toward his people and wants to be part of whatever is going on — whether that’s playtime, hanging out, or just following you from room to room.   He’s got a sweet, easygoing demeanor and a playful side to match. He loves attention, enjoys being held, and settles in nicely for cuddles after he’s gotten his energy out.     Social & Play Style   One of the best things about Bumper Car is how well he does with other dogs. He’s currently living with dogs ranging from about 30 to 100 pounds and fits right in with all of them.   He’s playful without being overwhelming and reads other dogs well. He enjoys running around, engaging in play, and then moving on when it’s time to settle down.   He’s also not excessively barky, which makes him an easy addition to a home environment.     Training & Daily Life   For a young puppy, Bumper Car is already picking things up quickly:   Dog door: knows how to use it Potty training: off to a strong start with routine Food motivated: yes — which helps with training Crate training: still learning, but improving He’s a smart pup who will benefit from consistency and structure, but he’s already showing great instincts.     Energy Level   Bumper Car has that ideal puppy balance. He’s energetic and fun when it’s time to play, but he’s not nonstop chaos. After some activity, he’s more than happy to relax and hang out.   He can keep up with an active household but also knows how to settle, which is a great trait as he grows.     Why Bumper Car Stands Out   Bumper Car is the total package:   Great with dogs of all sizes Loves people and attention Affectionate and cuddly Not overly vocal Already showing strong house habits Happy, adaptable personality He’s had a strong start being raised in a home, and it shows in how comfortable and well-adjusted he is.     The Bottom Line   Bumper Car is the kind of puppy that makes life better — easy to love, easy to have around, and full of potential.   If you’re looking for a friendly, well-rounded puppy who will grow into a loyal companion, Bumper Car is a perfect fit.April 29, 2026, 2:21 pm

Story
Meet Missy, our gorgeous mama from LA! Missy's truly one of a kind. She's a big-hearted, affectionate, people LUVing girl with the soulful devotion one could only dream of. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be by your side, whether that’s chasing waves at the beach, going for a hike, or curling up next to you for a cozy night in. Missy LUVS people, like LUVs them! She LUVs taking naps next to her people, doing downtime in her crate with her favorite little humans (especially 8 and up!), and soaking up the sun outside - whether that's a walk, hike, or just hanging out. She's the perfect blend of active and couch potato. Missy would LUV an active home with someone who enjoys daily walks or outdoor adventures. She's equally happy relaxing at home. Missy's independent and easygoing, but when she chooses you as her person, she LUVs you deeply and forever. Though Missy has been fostered with other dogs and, has shown she can be playful and social when properly introduced, she prefers to be the only dog in the house. Small dogs and animals are a dealbreaker. She does best with calm, respectful dogs around her size. Missy was rescued from a shelter in LA with her 9 puppies (yes, 9!). She was a LUVing, attentive mama, and now that her pups have all been adopted, it’s her time to shine. In her foster home, she’s proven to be smart, well-mannered, and full of charm. She’s crate-and-trained, knows her basic commands, and has an endearing silly side that makes everyone smile. Ready to fall in LUV? Fill out an application to meet Missy your new furever LUV! Missy's currently located in the Bay Area but is open for adoption in Southern California. All Mutt Luv Rescue pups receive a full health checkup, parasite testing, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Story
Meet Penny, a cuddly, mellow boxer ready to find her forever home. Penny is 5 years old, and is a petite 50 pounds. In foster care, Penny has been an excellent house guest! She is completely potty trained and has not had any accidents. Penny happily goes in her crate to rest and settles in while you’re home, and is learning that it’s okay to be left alone. Penny has excellent leash skills and enjoys a walk around the block with minimal pulling. Penny also enjoys a car ride, sitting quietly in the backseat looking out the windows. Penny’s energetic puppy days are behind her, and she prefers to lounge and calmy follow people around the house. At night, Penny proven to be trustworthy outside of her crate, snuggling up on a dog bed or couch, and she is also working on crate training at night. She has yet to chew or show any destructive behaviors! At the shelter, Penny tested well with both male and female dogs and is currently living happily with another dog. Penny would do well with an existing dog in the household or would be happy to be an only dog. Penny is wary around new people, but opens up within a few hours to show her cuddly side. She is eager to please, and has proven to be a quick learner. She would do well in a patient home that would give her time to open up and show her goofy side. Penny is patiently waiting to meet her forever family. If you are interested in adopting Penny, please complete our application at 1luckydogrescue.org or reach out to Patricia at olveiry@yahoo.com with a little information about the home you’d offer Penny.

Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
Hi, I'm Bella! 🐾 I'm a pit mix with a little Rottweiler in me (that's where I get my tan-and-black coat) and yes, these short little legs are as cute as they look. I came from a rescue, but I've spent every single day since making sure my people know how much I love them! If you're an adventure person, I'm your girl. Snuggles on the sofa? I'm there. Weekend hike? Let's go! I'm happy doing anything, as long as I'm with you. The dog park is my happy place, especially when my goldendoodle and malamute besties show up. And food? Food is EVERYTHING to me. Dinner time is the highlight of my day, and don't even get me started on pup cups. I lose my mind (in the best way). My dream home is a quiet one (no kids please, they make me a little nervous) with a backyard I can sniff and explore. I'm fully leash-trained and love walks. I warm up slowly to strangers, but with some patience and consistency? I'll be the most loyal, affectionate BFF you've ever had. I promise I'm worth the wait. 🖤🐶
