Story
Ivy is one of those puppies that seems to sprinkle a little extra sweetness into every room she walks into. She's the kind of little girl who can be playful and silly one minute, then quietly snuggle up and melt into your lap the next. With her adorable puppy face and lovable personality, she has a way of making people fall for her almost immediately. Ivy is right in the middle of all the fun puppy stages — curious, playful, full of little adventures, and discovering the world one tiny paw step at a time. Whether she's romping around with her siblings, checking out something new, or collecting puppy kisses to hand out, she's enjoying every bit of growing up. Like all young puppies, Ivy is still learning all the important puppy life skills and will need continued training, patience, structure, and guidance as she grows. Her future family should expect normal puppy behaviors like chewing, accidents, zoomies, and those "I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I'm having fun doing it" moments that puppies are famous for. Watching a puppy grow and learn is one of the best parts of bringing one home, and Ivy is ready to start that journey with a family of her own. If you're looking for a playful little best friend with a sweet heart and lots of love to give, Ivy may be your girl. 💕

Story
Jellybean is a tiny little bundle of joy who’s currently living life exactly the way a puppy should: playing hard, exploring everything around him, and making sure there’s never a dull moment. One minute he’s proudly carrying around a toy like he just completed an important mission, and the next he’s sitting there looking up at you with those sweet little eyes like he hasn’t caused a bit of mischief all day. Jellybean is exactly what you’d expect from a young puppy: playful, curious, wiggly, and full of love. He’s at that fun age where his personality is starting to shine through more and more each day. Everything is exciting, every toy is an adventure, and every new experience is something worth investigating. Despite coming from a rough beginning, you’d never know it looking at him now. Jellybean is happy, bright, and soaking up every bit of love and attention that comes his way. He’s discovering that life is pretty wonderful when it includes full bellies, warm naps, playtime, and people who care. He enjoys spending time with people and playing with his siblings and seems to have a sweet, fun-loving personality that naturally draws you in. He loves carrying toys around and appears pretty proud of himself when he finds one he likes. And after all that hard work being a puppy, he’s more than happy to curl up for cuddle time. Since Jellybean is still very young, he hasn’t developed set habits or manners yet. Puppies at this age are naturally good with dogs, cats, and children, but they also don’t understand boundaries yet. Playful nipping, chasing, bouncing around, and getting overly excited are all completely normal puppy behaviors. His future family will need to gently guide him, teach him appropriate behaviors, and help shape him into a happy, confident, well-mannered adult dog. A little fun fact about Jellybean: he seems pretty convinced that carrying around toys instantly makes him ten times bigger and tougher than he actually is. 🐾 Thinking about adopting a puppy? Story
Isabella is a little bundle of sweetness wrapped up in chunky puppy rolls and puppy-dog eyes that could probably get away with just about anything. One look at her and you'll understand why everyone around her ends up smiling. She's got that soft, gentle expression, those beautiful little eyes, and a personality that's just as lovable as her face. Isabella is right in the middle of all the fun puppy stages — playful, curious, wiggly, and learning about the world one adventure at a time. She loves exploring, bouncing around with her siblings, investigating anything new, and then crashing hard for one of those classic puppy naps where she sleeps like being adorable is exhausting work. She has a sweet and loving nature and enjoys being around people, soaking up attention, and sharing all the little puppy kisses she can. Like all young puppies, she's still learning everything from the ground up and will need continued training, patience, structure, and guidance as she grows. Puppies at this age are still developing their personalities and routines, so adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors including chewing, play biting, accidents, zoomies, and lots of curiosity. The reward for all that work? Getting to watch your tiny little sidekick grow into an amazing family companion. If you're looking for a playful best friend with a heart full of love and a face that's almost unfairly cute, Isabella may be your girl. 💕

Story
Brucie is a very handsome, young boy looking for a forever home of his own. We believe he is a Boxer mix, sporting a very attractive brindle coat. We estimate Brucie’s date of birth at February 10, 2021. At the time of this posting he is just under two years old. He is about 60 lbs. Brucie loves people and is very affectionate. Given his size and energy level, he would not be an ideal canine companion for younger children. We expect children over the age of 12 would be ok. And of course, an all-adult home would be perfect for Brucie! Brucie is very active and energetic, and sometimes can get carried away with his play. He loves running in the secure, fenced yard of his foster home. He keeps himself entertained; he would not do well in a dog park or day care. An ideal home for Brucie is one in which he can thrive as an only dog, with a family experienced with larger dogs who sometimes can get out of hand. Brucie’s only “watch-out” is that he can be a bit of a resource guarder with his food and bones, but this issue can readily be managed as he gets to know his new family and as they learn more about him!! As is the case with all young, larger dogs, Brucie would greatly benefit from obedience training which can also be a bonding experience with his new family. No doubt, Brucie has the potential to evolve into the perfect pup, but is looking for that family willing to commit to him and provide him the forever home he deserves. Brucie is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered & microchipped and on year-round heartworm prevention. BAARK is located in the Chicago area; we adopt our dogs only local to the Chicago area. If you are interested in adding Brucie to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Story
Meet Bear: A Big-Hearted Brindle Beauty 🐾 Bear is a striking young Boxer mix with a gorgeous dark brindle coat and a personality as bold as his looks. Born around February 10, 2021, Bear is almost 5 years old and weighs about 60 lbs—full of energy and charm. 💙 Personality & Quirks: Bear is a people-loving pup who’s always eager for attention and affection. He’s not your typical chewer—but he does have a curious palate and has been known to sample rocks, sticks, and toys. His future family will need to keep a watchful eye to ensure he stays safe and avoids non-edible temptations. 🐕 Activity & Environment: Bear thrives in a secure, fenced yard where he can run and play to his heart’s content. He’s high-energy and sometimes gets a little carried away with his enthusiasm, so dog parks and daycare aren’t the best fit. He’s happiest as an only dog, where he can soak up all the love and attention. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Ideal Home: - Adults or families with children over 12 - Experience with large, energetic dogs - A commitment to ongoing training and structure - A safe environment free of tempting chewables Bear would flourish in a home that understands his playful spirit and is ready to guide him with patience and consistency. Obedience training will not only help him grow into his best self—it’ll be a wonderful bonding experience for his new family. 🩺 Health & Vetting: Bear is: - Fully vetted - Up to date on vaccinations - Neutered and microchipped - Heartworm negative and on year-round preventative 📍 Adoption Info Bear is being fostered through BAARK Dog Rescue, located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We adopt locally within our area. If you’re ready to welcome Bear into your life and give him the forever home he deserves, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or call 847-852-0895.
