Story
Hi, I'm Constance. Thanks for taking a look at me! I know my cute face is irresistible, but remember that I will take up lots of your time and attention while I grow into an awesome adult dog. Socialization, training (including house training), and exercise are just a few of the things I will look to you for. Chewing, teething, and learning what is Okay and not Okay to put in my mouth are all part of the puppy experience. And, be prepared for the time and money for frequent trips to the vet during the first few months so I can get up to date on my boosters and vaccines. But most of all, be prepared for all of the LOVE, puppy kisses, and joy I will bring into your life. If you are up for the challenge and the fun, stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website, www.hoofwoofmeow.org - not through a 3rd party service.**   Luke is a 45 lb. social butterfly, who melts hearts wherever he goes. He is a smart pup and fast learner while working with a professional dog trainer. Luke walks great on a leash, potty-trained, crate-trained and dog-friendly. He would do well as the only resident dog or with other pups in the household. Luke is a natural-born people and dog lover.  He sleeps through the night, usually on his back and snoring in his crate. Luke would benefit from an active family who has a fenced-in-yard and committed to continue his training and taking him on dog-friendly adventures. He wants to be in on the action during the day, so minimal crate time during the day would be a better fit. Whether it's playtime in his foster’s fenced in backyard or cuddles on the couch, Luke is always ready to spread happiness and joy to everyone he meets. Get ready to fall head over heels for this adorable pup! Estimated birth date 5/29/2023. Luke’s adoption fee is $400 - which includes core vaccinations (age appropriate), microchip & spay/neuter at one of our contracted vets (completed)   *Hoof Woof & Meow Animal Rescue presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Story
Fuzzy-faced Weston is about 2 years old and approximately 60 lbs. He has a goofy, fun personality and makes friends with other dogs and people quickly. He is submissive to other dogs. He's very social and has been great with everyone he meets. He loves seeing the school bus pull up and is excited to see the kids. He wags his whole body! He has some training and is housebroken - he even rings the bells on the door to let you know. He is gentle taking treats and walks well on a leash. He also likes to play but settles down and chills out easily too. The best is when he decides it's time to snuggle - he nuzzles in, making it a difficult decision to get up and move :). He is such a sweet and awesome boy! To meet and potentially adopt this special guy, get started by completing an adoption application at www.homesweethomepetrescue.org.

Story
Every dog has a story to tell. Some are “tails” of happiness and some are sorrowful. I like to think mine is of hope. My name is SPIKE. When my owner passed away, I was brought to the local animal shelter in Indiana. I was petrified. You see, my whole life of 10 years was spent in a crate in my owner’s home. I was only free of my prison when I went outside to relieve myself. This was the only time I got to see the light of day. After I finished my business, right back in my kennel did I go. Now, all of a sudden, I am in a noisy shelter with all these new sights and unknown people. It broke the shelter worker’s hearts to see me flinch when they would make any movement or try to pet me. Even when I was so scared, I never showed any signs of aggression. Rover Rescue was contacted, along with many other rescues, as the shelter workers recognized what a good boy I am. They knew I deserved to know what love was for the very first time. When my foster mom heard about me, she just knew that she could help! She was so excited to meet me. I knew my life was going to be just fine when I got my very first pup cup on my freedom ride from the shelter. What strides I have made from that first day! I have visited the vet office and was told that I was a very brave patient. It was determined that I am a Boxer Mix and based on my health, the veterinarian would put me between 7 to 9 years old. I weighed in at 60 pounds but could use another 3 to 5 pounds to reach my ideal weight. With my love of treats, that should be no problem. On a side note, I take yummies very gently. I no longer sit in a corner facing the wall, but now am an active participant in the house. I have proven to be housebroken and not destructive in any way. Due to my past, I have not been confined in a crate. However, I can be found curled up for a good snooze in one with the door open. I will now jump on the couch and ask for attention. I may still duck my head at times, but I do love to get pets and to be snuggled. Every day, I am gaining more and more confidence. The other dogs in the house have helped immensely. I love to run and chase and play with them. My foster mom says I am making up for the times I missed as a puppy. She was so thrilled when I picked up my first toy and tried to “kill” it by shaking my head. I am finally being the dog I was meant to be; a happy and loved one. Don’t be surprised if I am nervous when I first meet new people. I can still be timid in new situations. For this reason, I am a better fit for a home with older children or an adult only home. A securely fenced yard is needed so I can stretch my legs and be kept safe. Another doggy friend would be great, but I could also be an only furchild. I am still learning how to walk on a leash. I no longer pancake out flat, but could use some practice with my leash skills. I ride well in the car but will need a booty boost to get in the backseat. I would love to be your travel companion, especially if we go for pup cups! If you are looking to add a sweet member to your family, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. My adoption fee is $150. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
This handsome mug belongs to Porkchop! Porkchop is an 11 month old Bulldog mix who weighs about 60 pounds! He is a happy boy who loves to play with the resident dogs in his foster home. He's cautious and can be a nervous nelly, so slow introductions to new dogs, kids, and humans work best for this guy. He would love to have a confident and relaxed dog buddy in his forever home! After he gets used to new people, he loves to dole out kisses :) Porkchop is pen and crate trained, and potty trained! He's a young dog so he will need continued training and direction in his forever home. He thrives with routine and repetition. This includes his walk routes! He enjoys going for walkies but he likes to stick to a route he's comfortable with since new things can be scary! Porkchop's dream home is one where his humans will keep up with his training and help him build confidence, and give hime time and space to adjust to new things. He's such a sweet buddy who loves belly rubs, attention, and food, and he always gets so excited to see his humans when they come home! If you'd like to be showered with kisses every time you walk through the door, don't sleep on Porkchop! Porkchop's adoption fee is $650.
