Remi is in the HIZZZZOUSE and this what we have to say about her!Remi is a friendly, well-mannered girl who`s ready to find her forever home. It`s easy to see why she was a shelter favorite and why staff and volunteers worked so hard to get her safely into rescue. Her AHF foster mom describes her as the sweetest girl with excellent house manners - and yes, Remi is fully house-trained.Remi is the perfect size and temperament. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats and currently lives peacefully with both in her foster home. She loves people of all ages and does great with kids, too. If you`re searching for a cuddle buddy, Remi won`t disappoint - she`s happiest snoozing right by your side.Remi is also crate trained, learns commands quickly, and is highly food-motivated (she even takes treats gently!). She`s truly an all-around good girl, and anyone would be lucky to call her theirs.Interested in meeting Remi (AKA interested in having your heart stolen)? Moxie has been good with kids, but isn’t particularly good at understand her power when she runs and plays. Because of this she will be best with older kids. Story
Get ready to meet your new best friend—Jager is here to steal your heart and make a splash in your life! He is a 60 lb lab mix with lots of love to give. At 3 years old, this handsome pup has proven to be a loyal companion in his foster home. He’d love to find his forever home where he can show you what a great dog he really is! Though he can still be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and thrives when he feels safe and connected. He’s happiest just being near his people — whether that’s helping with yard work, keeping an eye for the intruder squirrels, or cuddling on the couch. Jager is housebroken, great on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs with introduction. Jager is a "ladies dog" he will go straight for the cuddles when he hears a beautiful female voice. But really does love all people once he gets to know you. He will lean into you for cuddles and affection. He does great with other dogs, playing in the yard and enjoys zooming around the outdoor area. A sweet, active, and social boy ready for a second chance! Jager would do best in a home with older children and would love a fenced in yard in his forever home. He absolutely loves the freedom of hanging outside while his family is does yard work or is relaxing. Jager is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit him will be set up for approved adopters only. Adoption fee is $300.00 which includes all appropriate vaccines, and he is neutered and microchipped. Please visit our website at http://newstartdogrescue.org and fill out an application if you are interested.

Story
We got Norman as a 6 month old puppy from a friend. He has transitioned with us going from a married couple to a married couple with kids. Norman has always been a very high energy and high anxiety dog, even as a puppy. We thought he would be a great family dog until he, on multiple occasions, started snapping at our son. He has never broken skin but he has left marks. He has also been banned from the couch because he growls at the baby when she tries to get up. We're not sure when things changed but we are not currently able to cater to what he needs.Norman is a farm dog through and through. He absolutely loves running in an open field, chasing a vehicle and a vacuum and diving face and or butt first under a pile of blankets.Norman is the best boy that needs a family that moves slow in the house, but fast outside. Loves kids that arent his own and will get along with certain dogs. He LOVES the car as much as he hates water and getting his nails clipped.

Story
Minnie Moo adores humans, love and cuddling. She is super gentle, she'll crawl up on the couch or bed slowly to lay with you, and does her best to not step on you. She's house trained and has remained uncaged while we are at work. Why we are rehoming: Minnie Moo must be the only dog in the house. While she has never hurt or attacked a person, she is very food and toy possessive around other animals. We absolutely love Minnie, but unfortunately we have two other dogs and we can't continue to put them at risk, as she has attacked them before. Minnie has been wonderful with our cats, as long as they don't get near her while she's eating, but we recommend she just be the only animal. My wife and I are about to adopt a child and can't have the risk of her fighting in front of them, of the child getting in the middle. We've tried meds to calm her, but nothing has worked sadly. She is an AMAZING dog besides this. Requirements to re-home: - Must be only dog - Must have fenced yard
