Moxie is an approximately 8 year old, boxer mix. There is nothing more important to Moxie than being with people. She wants all the attention,love and belly rubs one can offer. Emphasis on the belly rubs! Moxie loves being outside and is always up for a walk. Moxie would do best in a home with a fence as she enjoys laying outside in the warm weather. Moxie will go in a crate and she is also okay being left out as well. She currently sleeps with her foster parents in bed. Moxie would do best with not being left alone for long lengths of time. She’s misses you too much when you’re gone. She’s a vocal girl that loves to alert you to people walking outside while she watches at the front door. Moxie has been good with kids, but isn’t particularly good at understand her power when she runs and plays. Because of this she will be best with older kids. When she’s in her kennel, she sounds like a tiny pterodactyl demanding snacks and attention — but the second she’s out, she’s as sweet and gentle as can be. Pure cuddle bug mode activated! Tera is a super energetic, playful girl who brings a ton of joy (and zoomies!) wherever she goes. She loves toys, treats, and anyone ready for a good cuddle once she’s settled. Tera is still learning her manners and will do best with a family with older kids or someone who can provide consistency and structure. When left alone, she does great in her crate—no accidents and she settles in well. He loves to play—whether it’s with our resident dog, Par, or with his people. He’s fully potty trained and crate trained. Mello is very affectionate and extra generous with kisses—he’s still learning when it’s okay to lick and when it’s time to take a break. He’s extremely food motivated, which works in his favor during training. When told to lay down while people are eating, he settles nicely and does a great job. Training & Manners: Mello is still very much a puppy and is learning his manners. He is both treat- and toy-motivated, making training much easier for this big guy. He truly wants to please and is eager to learn. Walks: Mello loves going for walks! He’s still learning how to walk politely on a leash, but we’re already seeing improvements. Dogs: He loves them. He loves kissing his foster sister Par! Treats: Treats are his favorite! He sits nicely for them but is still learning to take them gently. Tricks: Mello currently knows sit, stay, lay down ( which he then goes and lays in his crate) and usually responds when asked, though he’ll benefit from continued consistency and practice. Kids: Mello does love kids but would do best with older children due to his size and puppy energy. The Bottom Line: Mello is a sweet, clumsy, lovable boy who would thrive in a forever home willing to continue his training.
