Story
Meet Spoon. He’s a 2 year old boxer pit mix. I adopted him a year ago. He is truly the sweetest boy, and a big cuddle bug. He loves people with a passion. He’s always is up for an adventure, a run, or just playing with his favorite ball. Spoon has idiopathic head tremor syndrome. Which means when he gets anxious his head shakes, is on meds for his anxiety, and they have stopped his shakes. Unfortunately spoon is reactive to dogs, cats, and sometimes kids. Due to the fact that he is so excited and can’t calm himself down. I need to rehome him because I have a new job that has me at work more often than home. It is unfair to diminish his quality of life by keeping him at home. He truly is the best dog when he is on his own. He’s looking for a home where he can be the star of the show!

I’ll travel to you! I’m the kind of dog who makes you laugh without trying. Big smile. Silly energy. A little clumsy in the best way. I’ve got that Boxer vibe in me, or at least that goofy charm that makes people say it. I’m friendly. I’m sweet. I like people. I’m the dog who walks into a room like we’re already friends. Let’s get one thing out of the way. I love food. A lot. Meals, treats, snacks, crumbs. If it’s edible, I’m interested. It makes training easy though. You’ve got snacks, I’ve got focus. I’m a strong boy too. Not out of control, just solid. I need someone who’s comfortable handling a dog with some muscle. I’ll do great with structure, guidance, and regular exercise. My skin looks pretty good now, but I may have had some irritation in the past, maybe fleas or something that needed time to heal. It’s not slowing me down. Hi! We are looking for someone wonderful to adopt our loving and energetic 7 year old dog, Rory. Unfortunately, after having our baby last summer we have struggled to give Rory the attention and exercise he needs as well as keeping a calm, safe environment for our newly mobile little girl.Rory is a reactive barker and will bark at the mailman, squirrels out the window, etc. He knows basic commands and has gone through a basic dog training course. He is very trainable with lots of consistency at home and treats (he loves food!)Rory loves going on walks and playing with our other dog in the backyard or at the dog park. He gives the best cuddles on the couch at the end of a long day and wants nothing more than to be around his family. He is afraid of storms and shakes until they are over. We have so much love for him and are sad to give him up but are hopeful that we can find a wonderful new home where he can get the attention he deserves.
