Story
Tatum is a very sweet six-month-old puppy who is feeling overwhelmed and fearful in the shelter environment. He tends to retreat to the back of his kennel and shows signs of stress, including tense body language and avoidance behaviors, but once outside, he begins to relax, allowing gentle petting and seeking comfort. Tatum is still learning to trust and feels safest when close to a calm, reassuring person. Despite his fear, he shows curiosity and willingness to engage once he feels secure, even trying to follow back when returning to his kennel. This gentle, anxious boy would benefit greatly from a calm, patient environment where he can feel safe and build confidence.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Apollo! Apollo is truly a gentle, sweet soul. After his morning walk, he settles right in—mostly napping inside with occasional playtime with his toys. He catches onto routines quickly and has an easygoing nature that makes him a joy to have around. During the day, Apollo loves playing ball in the yard, and his army crawl is absolutely hilarious. When he gets excited, he bounces around in the cutest way. He adores going on walks and, even when he’s thrilled, he always sits politely while his foster mom clips on his leash. Apollo loves people and has been friendly with the dogs he’s met in the neighborhood, greeting them calmly and appropriately. He’s an all-around fantastic, easygoing dog. While he would do fine as an only dog, he’s still and energetic, so we hope he finds a forever home with a canine buddy to play with.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2026, 11:38 am

As a young pup, he didn’t get all the early experiences most dogs do, so new places and faces can feel a little big at first. But once he feels safe, Bluey blossoms into the most loving and playful companion. He’s already shown us just how special he is—building sweet bonds with people he trusts and delighting us every day with his love for other dogs. His gentle heart and playful spirit are just waiting for the right family to help him continue to grow in confidence. Bluey isn’t looking for perfection—just a patient, kind family who will give him the love and encouragement he needs to thrive. With that support, he’ll reward you with loyalty, joy, and endless love.Could Bluey be the missing piece of your family?Bluey was born September 2022Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. Story
Meet Sophie, a sweet and lovable 6 year old boxer mix who has come a long way from her rough start on the streets of South Texas. Abandoned at a gas station, emaciated and struggling to survive, Sophie was given a second chance at life when she was rescued and transported to DFW. After spending almost 2 years in foster care, Sophie has blossomed into a healthy and happy dog. She's a bit of a couch potato, spending most of her day lounging in her bed, but she loves to spring into action when it's time to eat! Sophie gets the zoomies once or twice a day and enjoys running around in the yard. She's a bit of a homebody and prefers to be indoors, doing her business and then heading back to the door. Sophie is looking for a forever home where she can be the only pet. She's not a fan of other dogs or cats, but she loves people and adores attention. She does well with older children 13+. She's potty trained, house trained, and knows how to sit on command. Sophie does well on a leash. Sophie is spayed, fully vaccinated and current on prevention. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Sophie might be the perfect fit for you. We're hoping to find a family who will keep in touch and send updates on this sweet girl's new life. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that are a good fit for the dog.

Story
🎉🎉🎉 Introducing Charles, affectionately known as “Charlie Brown”! 🎉🎉🎉 Charles has been in our care for OVER A YEAR AND A HALF—and this sweet, goofy boy is more than ready to find a forever home of his very own! This 3-year-old pit was on the brink of being put down at the shelter just because his previous owner had a "change in lifestyle." But thanks to one of our incredible fosters, Charles was rescued and now he's eagerly waiting to meet his perfect match. Here’s a glimpse into what Charles’ ideal home looks like: 🔎 He's a curious explorer! This little snuggle bug loves to check out new places and can't wait to explore his entire territory with you. 😎 Are you an outdoorsy family? Charles is too! He adores spending time outside, especially when it's with his favorite humans. 🙌 Already potty and kennel trained, Charles is ready to jump straight into bonding with his new family. 🏆 He’s been attending training to have the best manners—he knows “sit” and does wonderfully with both male and female dog friends. 🚫 Charles prefers a cat-free household but is non-reactive to cats, so with supervision and patience, he might be able to adjust to a feline roommate. Charles has completed his heartworm treatment and is now healthy and thriving! He’s energetic, goofy, sweet, and so, so happy. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Charlie Brown. He’s dog-friendly, responsive to corrections, keeps his kennel clean, isn’t a chewer, and LOVES to run and play. If this isn’t the right fit for you, please share his story—you might help him find his person. 📩 Send us a message to set up a meet and greet with Charles and his foster today! 🐾 Apply to adopt: https://linktr.ee/pawprintsofhoperescue
