Story
Lucy, a very loving dog, has a story. I raised her for her first three years, but unfortunately, I had to give her up. I gave her to a loving family, but I later discovered that they neglected her for four years. So, I took her back. Now, I have a career that requires me to travel 4 to 5 days a week. I feel so guilty knowing that she’s alone and not receiving the love and attention she deserves. In the last year she has lived with another dog but can be iffy around other dogs

Story
This is Lucia (1 yrs old), This sweet girl is looking for a loving forever home. She is a beautiful brindle female with the happiest smile and a playful, affectionate personality. She enjoys being outside, lounging on the deck, and soaking up attention from her people. She is friendly, alert, and loves companionship. She would do best with someone who has time to give her love, exercise, and consistency. She has so much potential to be an amazing companion and family dog. Rehoming is not an easy decision, and this is only being done to make sure she has the best life possible. A good home is the priority.

Story
Wren is a happy-go-lucky boxer. Loving pretty much everything and everyone this sweet girl loves cacoons and dens, hanging out with her buddies (people and dogs), and eating snacks (who doesn't?). She is constant need of attention, but much like the boxer she is, she is very independant.  Wren was in a home, the owner was no longer capable of giving Wren the love and attention she needed. When she arrived here she sprinted around the yard, so excited to run around. She goes out with one buddy at the moment but we expect she does well with most dogs. Previous owner said she does well with dogs, cats, and children. We have not seen her around cats, but we know she does well with little kids.  She is house trained, does well on leash, and is attentive to people. She would do well in homes where she can get attention and plenty of time to be mentally stimulated or room to run!   ##1666551##

As a young pup, he didn’t get all the early experiences most dogs do, so new places and faces can feel a little big at first. But once he feels safe, Bluey blossoms into the most loving and playful companion. He’s already shown us just how special he is—building sweet bonds with people he trusts and delighting us every day with his love for other dogs. His gentle heart and playful spirit are just waiting for the right family to help him continue to grow in confidence. Bluey isn’t looking for perfection—just a patient, kind family who will give him the love and encouragement he needs to thrive. With that support, he’ll reward you with loyalty, joy, and endless love.Could Bluey be the missing piece of your family?Bluey was born September 2022Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. Clara was impounded as a stray. She takes a little bit to warm up to strangers but will melt in your lap after she gets to know you. She is full grown at this point and is healthy. Walks decently well on a leash. No known medical issues.NOTE: The shelter's budget does NOT cover vet exams for these animals. We recommend that each adopted animal get a complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption. August 25, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Pastel is all brindle, with white stripe down her face, She grew up with a rescue cat and many other dogs of all ages!. She will sit, lay down, walk on leash, and is treadmill trained. She loves to give hugs with her huge paws. She listens well, and I have seen and been told by trainers, she is the smartest dog of her litter. She takes time to get to know you, she is curious, and often seems worried. We are working on her confidence around the loud weird noises of the world; for weeks she hated to walk near the train, but is doing better. She is slow to get to know you... unless she loves you and it all comes naturally with no reason. She needs extra time to potty and to not be rushed. She will not come quickly to someone she doesn&#39t know, so extra time is needed to fall in love, but the love comes fast with the right leader. She sleeps still and with a group of dogs cuddling next to you in bed and is quiet - hardly making a peep. She does well with all ages of dogs and cats. I would trust her with all animals. This sweet, young 40 (ish) pound pup is a pleasure to be around and with the right leader listens so well. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Pastel is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.June 3, 2025, 3:59 pm

Story
MyTai is an all brindled boy with a protection dog attitude, but he is great alone. Quiet in the yard and in a home, but with a group of dogs will bark. He loves to please you. He loves to be loved and cuddle. Tiger still needs to have bones and toys to chew on and loves to play. Walks well on leash, is treadmill trained, can sit and lay down. He is an alpha and will dominate without proper leadership. He listens well and loves praise. He loves to run and exercise. I sometimes think he would be best as a only pet. Can consider a home with other pets with the right household. Grew up with a rescue cat and many other dogs of all ages. I like to be present when he is with other dogs. He does well with the senior dogs in my household, but with too many same age dogs, Tiger will take advantage of the party time. He loves to be outside, and with the right temperature he could probably be outside a lot. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.
