Story
Meet Eddie, a young, sweet soul, eager for a forever home. He is a Boxer/Black Mouth Cur mix and weighs 80 lbs. He's the epitome of joy, blending his smart, playful nature with an independent streak that's simply endearing. Eddie's goofy antics and gentle demeanor make him a delightful companion, always ready for a game or a cuddle. His energy is infectious, and his bravery is admirable, making every day an adventure. Eddie adores people and thrives during his zoomie sessions. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving friend, Eddie is your perfect match! Eddie loves people and kids. Watch out for his wiggly tail. He is good around other non-alpha dogs. So far has been very patient with cats letting them smell and rub on him. He loves going on walks and spending time outdoors. He will need a minimum of 6 ft fenced backyard to keep him from going off exploring. Eddie would like another dog in the home to be his new best friend. Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Wren is a happy-go-lucky boxer. Loving pretty much everything and everyone this sweet girl loves cacoons and dens, hanging out with her buddies (people and dogs), and eating snacks (who doesn't?). She is constant need of attention, but much like the boxer she is, she is very independant.  Wren was in a home, the owner was no longer capable of giving Wren the love and attention she needed. When she arrived here she sprinted around the yard, so excited to run around. She goes out with one buddy at the moment but we expect she does well with most dogs. Previous owner said she does well with dogs, cats, and children. We have not seen her around cats, but we know she does well with little kids.  She is house trained, does well on leash, and is attentive to people. She would do well in homes where she can get attention and plenty of time to be mentally stimulated or room to run!   ##1666551##

Story
Pastel is all brindle, with white stripe down her face, She grew up with a rescue cat and many other dogs of all ages!. She will sit, lay down, walk on leash, and is treadmill trained. She loves to give hugs with her huge paws. She listens well, and I have seen and been told by trainers, she is the smartest dog of her litter. She takes time to get to know you, she is curious, and often seems worried. We are working on her confidence around the loud weird noises of the world; for weeks she hated to walk near the train, but is doing better. She is slow to get to know you... unless she loves you and it all comes naturally with no reason. She needs extra time to potty and to not be rushed. She will not come quickly to someone she doesn't know, so extra time is needed to fall in love, but the love comes fast with the right leader. She sleeps still and with a group of dogs cuddling next to you in bed and is quiet - hardly making a peep. She does well with all ages of dogs and cats. I would trust her with all animals. This sweet, young 40 (ish) pound pup is a pleasure to be around and with the right leader listens so well. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Pastel is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.April 22, 2026, 1:21 pm

Story
MyTai is an all brindled boy with a protection dog attitude, but he is great alone. Quiet in the yard and in a home, but with a group of dogs will bark. He loves to please you. He loves to be loved and cuddle. Tiger still needs to have bones and toys to chew on and loves to play. Walks well on leash, is treadmill trained, can sit and lay down. He is an alpha and will dominate without proper leadership. He listens well and loves praise. He loves to run and exercise. I sometimes think he would be best as a only pet. Can consider a home with other pets with the right household. Grew up with a rescue cat and many other dogs of all ages. I like to be present when he is with other dogs. He does well with the senior dogs in my household, but with too many same age dogs, Tiger will take advantage of the party time. He loves to be outside, and with the right temperature he could probably be outside a lot. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Story
Meet your new co-pilot, Ellie! She is a sweet 3 year old,100% american bully, girl weighing about 60 lbs, and she radiates happy energy everywhere she goes. She's fully vaccinated and has been raised in a loving home where she's been cherished every single day. Her favorite spot in the world is the passenger seat right beside you. She loves being included and makes an excellent work day companion. Ellie has never known hardship, and it shows in her easygoing, happy go lucky personality. She listens well, enjoys her walks, and lights up the moment she sees her leash come out. She's enthusiastic and curious, but she's not street savvy--cars simply don't register for her so a securely fenced yard is essential to keep her safe. She's looking for a person or family who can continue giving her the warm, engaged life she's always known. If you're hoping for a loyal, joyful companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ellie would be thrilled to meet you. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip.
