Meet Sophie, a sweet and lovable 6 year old boxer mix who has come a long way from her rough start on the streets of South Texas. Abandoned at a gas station, emaciated and struggling to survive, Sophie was given a second chance at life when she was rescued and transported to DFW. After spending almost 2 years in foster care, Sophie has blossomed into a healthy and happy dog. She's a bit of a couch potato, spending most of her day lounging in her bed, but she loves to spring into action when it's time to eat! Sophie gets the zoomies once or twice a day and enjoys running around in the yard. She's a bit of a homebody and prefers to be indoors, doing her business and then heading back to the door. Sophie is looking for a forever home where she can be the only pet. She's not a fan of other dogs or cats, but she loves people and adores attention. She does well with older children 13+. She's potty trained, house trained, and knows how to sit on command. Sophie does well on a leash. Sophie is spayed, fully vaccinated and current on prevention. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Sophie might be the perfect fit for you. We're hoping to find a family who will keep in touch and send updates on this sweet girl's new life. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Bambi!  Our very sweet but scared senior lost her home at 8 years old. She is kennel trained and goes into her kennel at events very well and is potty trained.  She would make a great dog for a retired person Who just want a companion to hang out around the house with. Bambi is very calm and not a big barker.  She walks very well on a leash and would be fine in a home with a yard or even a condo or townhouse. Parker is all puppy and oh-so-cute, full of enthusiasm and ready to take on the world. He displays very typical puppy behaviors—some jumping up, grabbing at loose clothing, and occasionally trying to snatch treats—but none of it is aggressive, just youthful excitement and curiosity. He does know the command sit, though you may need to ask a few times, especially when he’s distracted. While he mostly takes treats gently, he can get a little snatchy when excited. At the start of our walk there was quite a bit of jumping, but with clear expectations and consistency, the behavior improved significantly. Parker is a smart, eager young dog who is ready for a committed home willing to guide him as he grows into the very best version of himself.
