Meet Sophie, a sweet and lovable 6 year old boxer mix who has come a long way from her rough start on the streets of South Texas. Abandoned at a gas station, emaciated and struggling to survive, Sophie was given a second chance at life when she was rescued and transported to DFW. After spending almost 2 years in foster care, Sophie has blossomed into a healthy and happy dog. She's a bit of a couch potato, spending most of her day lounging in her bed, but she loves to spring into action when it's time to eat! Sophie gets the zoomies once or twice a day and enjoys running around in the yard. She's a bit of a homebody and prefers to be indoors, doing her business and then heading back to the door. Sophie is looking for a forever home where she can be the only pet. She's not a fan of other dogs or cats, but she loves people and adores attention. She does well with older children 13+. She's potty trained, house trained, and knows how to sit on command. Sophie does well on a leash. Sophie is spayed, fully vaccinated and current on prevention. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Sophie might be the perfect fit for you. We're hoping to find a family who will keep in touch and send updates on this sweet girl's new life. Wren is a happy-go-lucky boxer. Loving pretty much everything and everyone this sweet girl loves cacoons and dens, hanging out with her buddies (people and dogs), and eating snacks (who doesn't?). She is constant need of attention, but much like the boxer she is, she is very independant. Wren was in a home, the owner was no longer capable of giving Wren the love and attention she needed. When she arrived here she sprinted around the yard, so excited to run around. She goes out with one buddy at the moment but we expect she does well with most dogs. Previous owner said she does well with dogs, cats, and children. We have not seen her around cats, but we know she does well with little kids. She is house trained, does well on leash, and is attentive to people. She would do well in homes where she can get attention and plenty of time to be mentally stimulated or room to run! ##1666551##

Clara was impounded as a stray. She takes a little bit to warm up to strangers but will melt in your lap after she gets to know you. She is full grown at this point and is healthy. Walks decently well on a leash. No known medical issues.NOTE: The shelter's budget does NOT cover vet exams for these animals.
