RIO HAS HAD ONE EMAIL IN ALL MOST 2 YEARS!! HE IS AN AMAZING SWEET GUY, STILL NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! MEET RIO! Rio was down in South Texas and he was very sick. One of our volunteer saw him and he really spoke to her heart. So we had him transport it up here and began his medical treatment. Rio was a tiny puppy that was emaciated and dying from parasites! Those days are over for him and he is now a healthy boy! Rio is 2 1/2 years old and 48 lbs and fully grown. This boy is a sweetheart! He loves other dogs. No cats with him. Rio is super sweet and smart and loves to be with his people. We think when dogs come from a hard situation, they really show their appreciation. Rio LOVES to play fech and tug-a-war!! Chaka Lou is a sweet, loyal, funny, smart, and deeply attentive girl! Fostered from DAS since April 2025, she is house, crate, leash, and harness trained. She knows sit, down, stay, off, leave it, no, and comes happily (for a treat). She loves frisbee, tennis balls, Kong toys, tug-of-war, squeakies, walks, runs, belly rubs and booty scritches, and her bed- or yours! She bonds closely with her person and thrives on being included in everyday life, whether that’s adventures outside or relaxing at home. A natural guardian and gentle nurse, she alerts you to visitors and softly nudges you if you’re unwell or need to sit. Curious about cats and wants to play but still working on chase manners. Confident, affectionate, and eager to learn, she will flourish in a home with structure, activity, and lots of love. Like many long-term shelter pets, she needs urinary prescription food; I use it for training treats, so cost is similar to regular food plus treats. Ready to meet your loyal fur bestie?

MEET REX & LEXI! 2 super sweet, super friendly, super playful, Brother & Sister American Pitbulls. Both only 2 yrs old & big ole babies!! House broken, but LOOOOVE to play outside. Born during winter, so they LOOOOVE to play in the snow. Potty trained, will let you know by wimpering, barking, and/or clawing at the door. Orrr, theyll just jump & claw at the door if they just want to go outside & play. Lexi, my girl, the Black & White one loves to sun bathe. She's super chill & laid back, doesnt really bark much at all. Rex on the other hand, the grey & white one, complete opposite. Lol! He's a lil more hyper/active & barks more, but mostly at things he sees in the yrd. They know simple commands like sit, paw, lay down, go home when you want them to go in their cage. When its time to eat, they know not to start eating until you give them the command, "EAT". Theyre on a kibble diet currently. Great with people, will try to lick you to death. All in all, theyre really GREAT dogs!
