Story
3 yr, 5 months Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. For further information or to start the adoption process, leave a message at 612-202-9492 or email cattalesmn@outlook.com If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). ~*~*~* Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cattalesmn *~*~*~*~*

Story
Meet Kalla and Kimora (Kalla grey and white Kimora orange white grey) two sisters who have been in each other's business since birth. They are inseparable, co-dependent, and honestly kind of hilarious. They are professional nap buddies and synchronized window-bird-watchers. Kalla behaves like an older sister, does her own thing watch's what Kimora does. She loves her box's, high perches, and to sleep next to her person. Kimora loves the spotlight whatever you're doing she's curious and will be right beside you. She’s the one who wants all of the cuddles. They're the perfect snuggle buddies, they’ll curl up right next to you or on top of you. It's been tough financially lately, finding a home for them to temporarily stay while i get back on my feet. They've been moving around a lot lately from a friends home to another and I can see how much that stresses them out and I can no longer do that to them. I'm looking for someone who can offer stability and all the love they deserve.

Story
Zoey is a gentle, affectionate 9-year-old who loves greeting her person at the door and chatting about her day. She has big dog-energy in all the best ways. She adores cuddles, enjoys being close, and will happily curl up beside you for naps or quiet evenings. She has wonderful manners. No scratching furniture or carpet. She prefers her cardboard scratchers and uses them like a pro. She has lived with other pets in the past, but Zoey truly shines in a calm home with either one mellow pet or no other animals at all. Zoey is sensitive to fast movement and loud noises, so young children make her very anxious. We’ve set up a quiet space for her, and she thrives when she has a peaceful spot to relax. We are moving soon and unfortunately will not have a room where she can feel safe and comfortable. Zoey will come with everything she needs to settle into her new home. This includes a Breeze litter box and refills, a Breeze Litter Genie, a soft sided carrier, and her self feeder and waterer

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Louise — the gentle, shy sweetheart who’s learning how wonderful the indoor life can be! Louise spent the first 5–6 weeks of her life in a feral colony, and because of that, she’s still finding her confidence with people. She may be timid at first, but she’s also curious, observant, and quietly playful. Pull out a wand toy or a teaser, and you’ll see her little personality sparkle—she absolutely comes alive during playtime, and it’s one of the fastest ways to warm her heart. Louise has made steady progress in the short time she’s been inside. She allows petting, tolerates being picked up, and feels especially secure when she’s in her safe space. She does sometimes run and hide when approached, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she’s showing more and more trust each day. This sweet girl loves treats—especially salmon or tuna puree—and will happily take them right from your hand. She’s also wonderful with other cats and enjoys snuggling up with them or joining in on their games. Louise is also a litter box superstar and has never had an accident. Here’s a cute video of Louise playing and another video for your viewing enjoyment. With a patient, loving home that lets her grow at her own pace, she’ll blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. She’s a precious little soul who just needs someone willing to help her confidence bloom. Louise is from a stray surrender with one sibling. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Click here to watch a video of Louise.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 26, 2025, 12:12 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bonded to ZaraMeet Masala! Masala is a beautiful calico estimated to be around 1–2 years old. She came into rescue alongside her kitty friend, Zara. While Zara is the chatty social butterfly, Masala is the gentle soul of the pair — calm, observant, and quietly affectionate once she feels comfortable. Masala isn’t too fond of the hustle and bustle of “office life” — all that commotion just isn’t her cup of tea! She would prefer a peaceful, steady home where she can relax, settle into a routine, and enjoy her favorite pastime: quietly watching the world go by from a cozy perch. She has been around other cats and dogs, though she appreciates slow, gentle introductions as she adjusts. Once she trusts you, Masala’s sweet and loving nature truly shines — a perfect companion for someone who values a calm and loyal feline friend. Masala is from an owner surrender with sister Zara, and they must be adopted together   To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
