Meet Dotty! <3 Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. She loves curling up on your chest for pets, weaving between your legs for attention, and flopping dramatically onto her back to show off her cutest moves. Don’t be surprised if her playful side comes out in the form of gentle paw taps or little love nips as she soaks up your affection.With a low-to-medium energy level, Sahara enjoys a balanced lifestyle. She’ll happily engage in short bursts of play especially if there’s a ribbon to bat at or a laser to chase, but she’s just as content lounging nearby or retreating to a cozy, tucked-away spot for a peaceful nap. Quiet and observant, she’s a wonderful match for a calm home that appreciates her laid-back nature.Sahara currently lives in a medium-sized apartment and would do best in a home where she can feel secure and not overwhelmed. She may enjoy the company of another calm pet, but she’s selective with both cats and dogs and would be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. Her true priority is her humans, and she’s quick to greet visitors with her friendly, affectionate demeanor.She does well with respectful children over 12 who understand her boundaries, as she can become defensive with overly forceful handling.
