Story
How this pet arrived: KC was brought in by her previous owner on November 4, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet KC, a distinguished feline with plenty of purrsonality! She's beautiful, independent and thrives when she can lounge in a peaceful environment. KC has a bit of a history with skipping the litterbox, and while the exact "why" remains one of life's great mysteries, we suspect she wasn't thrilled about sharing her space with another cat and may also have some early kidney changes. KC is looking for a drama-free home without the hustle and bustle of other pets or young children. A calm environment and a dedicated "KC Room" to help her reset her litterbox habits will set her up for success. She may take her time to settle in, but once KC feels comfortable, she'll reward your patience with quiet companionship and her own brand of quirky charm. Although she has an independent nature, she may snuggle with you at night, once you bond! She also enjoys receiving ear rubs and will show you her air biscuits in return. Think of her as a cat with main character energy - she just needs the right stage to shine! Don't forget to bring a cat carrier for a safe ride home! Shy/Fearful Cat:KC requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 10.34 Age: 10yrs 3mths 2wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Chili was brought in by her previous owner on January 31, 2026.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Chili, a spicy and spirited feline who is looking for a home that understands the delicate balance of her unique personality. While she is undeniably social and enjoys being near her human companions, Chili is a cat who values her personal space and prefers a "look but don't touch" approach to friendship. Her previous owners noted that she is most comfortable lounging in the same room as her people rather than being handled, making her an ideal companion for someone who appreciates a cat with a strong sense of independence. Because Chili can escalate quickly from friendly to overstimulated, her new family should have previous cat experience and a keen eye for feline body language. Interactions should be kept short and sweet, and it is vital that her owners never engage in inappropriate play, such as using hands or feet as toys. To ensure a successful transition, Chili requires an adult home or a home with children aged 10 or older who can respect her boundaries and understand when she needs a break. For her journey to her new home, a large, hard-sided plastic cat carrier is required to ensure she feels secure and safe during the ride. If you are looking for a charismatic companion who keeps life interesting, Chili might just be the perfect addition to your household.p>Overstimulated Cat: Chili requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Black Weight: 13.5 Age: 3yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
How this pet arrived:Flower was brought in by his previous owner on December 20, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Flower, a sensitive soul with a heart of gold who just needs the right "garden" to truly bloom! While he might start off as a bit of a wallflower, this boy has a spunky side that shines through once he knows he's safe. Flower is looking for a calm, quiet, and predictable home where he can be the center of attention. He's looking for a dog-free environment with savvy humans aged 12 and up who are ready to follow expert coaching. Building a friendship with Flower is all about the "slow and steady" approach, using high-value treats and delicate play to win him over. He's already shown he can be quite social when introductions are handled with care, but he'll definitely need an extended acclimation period to get his bearings. Keeping his stress levels low isn't just about his mood - it's vital for his health! Flower has a history of urinary issues, including a past obstruction, which means his new family needs to be vigilant. If you have the patience to let him set the pace and the commitment to manage his medical needs, Flower is ready to reward you with a lifetime of quiet companionship and gentle purrs. He's a special boy who just needs a special person to recognize that the most beautiful flowers sometimes take a little extra time to open up. Don't forget to bring a secure cat carrier for a safe ride home!Shy/Fearful Cat: Flower requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Story
How this pet arrived: Pedi Paws and Jack were brought in by their previous owner on November 23, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Jack and Pedi Paws (#177433), two best friends looking for a loving new home together! Pedi Paws isn't actually running a high-end feline nail salon - but with those dainty toes and careful steps, she does walk like she's on a tiny runway. Jack, meanwhile, isn't climbing beanstalks - his preferred adventure is claiming the warmest sunspot in the room. Both cats are sensitive to change, so they'll need a calm, consistent home where they can settle in at their own pace. Once they're comfortable, they're all about soft pets and lounging in their favorite spot as they casually begin taking over your home in the most endearing way. They've done well with a small, cat-savvy dog and do best with older respectful kids who understand that great cats sometimes need a moment before the curtain rises on their personalities. Pedi Paws will supervise household happenings with refined paw-fessionalism, while Jack contributes with his signature "cool guy" vibe. Together, they bring double the whiskers, double the character and double the fun. When it's time to bring them home, please remember to pack two secure carriers - they're best friends, but they still prefer their own seats for the ride. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!Shy/Fearful Cat: Pedi Paws and Jack require a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
