Story
Charlie- is about 8 years old. He's a very sweet chihuahua/dachshund mix who loves to snuggle. He's housebroken, crate trained, great on car adventures, and not destructive. Charlie is good with other dogs, LOVES squeaker toys and walks like a dream on a leash. He's really looking forward to a lap to lay on and would like to be part of the family. Charlie is a vocal chap, apartment life would not be the best fit for him to succeed. His best friend is Sofie, and we would REALLY love it if they could be adopted together. Charlie, has been fully vetted, vaccinated, microchipped and altered. He will need a dental which we have scheduled in April. Please visit our website regarding our adoption FAQ's and the steps to take to bring Charlie and Sofie home. **3rd party apps you do not have our permission to share this listing**

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Darling little Nell is about 18 mo old and weighs 12lbs. She is a very active, outgoing, social girl so an athletically active family is required. She loves absolutely everyone she meets so she could go anywhere with her person. She even loves to walk through the farmers market or play with her doggie sibling while a park concert us going on around her. She’s wonderful with dogs and because she is such an energetic girl, another young, a playful dog in the home is required. After a long day of running and playing, she loves to settle down and cuddle with her person. She gets along great with a large family, too, but she will choose her favorite person with whom to cuddle. Nell is very agile so even though she’s a small girl, she would be a great companion for lots of long distance walks and hiking. In her foster home, she is walking 3-5miles at a time at least, has frequent visits to play at the beach off leash - and thrives on it! She also loves to play fetch with her people or tug of war with her playmate. If she cannot play with her human or another dog, she will self entertain by running around the house, throwing and fetching her toys by herself! She’s adorable! She is very food motivated and is very smart so she learns new manners and commands quickly. An experienced dog owner is a must. She’s great with kids so children over 8yrs old would be fine. She must have a securely fenced yard. Nell is fully house and crate trained and can be trusted home alone for a reasonable amount of hours.

The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 3 years old & 21 lbs & is perhaps a dachshund & chihuahua mix, (chiweenie), male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Gapy has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gapy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gapy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gapy has an adoption fee of $895 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Once upon a time, Diego had a family. When they couldn't care for him any longer due to a life threatening illness, he was at risk of being left at the pound to be euthanized. Our rescue group in Mexico was able to secure Diego and check his health. We fiund out he suffers from hypothyroidism. However, he is doing well on a daily pill and thriving. Diego is a feisty senior, with a chihuahua temperament, although not a barker. He gets along with other dogs, but would do better with submissive dogs than dominant ones. Ideally, being an only dog would be the best for Diego in his golden years. He would thrive with someone that could take him places and that would be with him most of the time. He still needs direction and guidance, specifically when walking on leash. He is not housebroken yet, but learning. He has been around cats and doesn't really care in most cases. So, a cat could be added to the mix with proper introductions and initial supervision. He gets along well with older kids and is very friendly and affectionate with people in general.
