Story
Meet Whimsy! Little Whimsy is adorable! She is tiny with big ears and the sweetest little personality.  Whimsy is just 5 months old and around 8 lbs. She will remain small. She is a very affectionate pup and likes to be with her people all the time. She is still learning to build some confidence when she needs to be alone for a little while. This will need some work. Whimsy is great with other dogs and will do best with a little dog friend in the home. She is nervous with new people and being with a dog friend can really help her build confidence. She is good with cats too. We would like to see Whimsy in a home with older kids (over 8) only. She is small and fragile and a little timid around kids at times.  Whimsy is vaccinated and microchipped. She will be spayed at our cost between 8-12 months. her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Toast! Little Toast arrived with 3 siblings and they are all adorable! They did not have a great start in life but are now doing very well in their foster homes.  From Toast's foster: Toast is a gentle, sweet little soul with a naturally loving heart. He has a playful, spirited side that shines through. He is learning his potty manners, and he handles it with remarkable ease and no fuss at all. Toast plays wholeheartedly with his brother and then happily crashes for an hour or two, completely worn out from the fun. He has no reservations when it comes to affection—Toast truly loves people. When you reach to pick him up, his tail starts wagging, he rolls onto his back, and eagerly soaks up the attention. At night, he sleeps peacefully in a crate with his brother, settling in without a single whimper and sleeping soundly until morning. Toast also does wonderfully with other dogs, including our senior pups who are two to three times his size. With his loving nature and easygoing temperament, Toast would make a truly wonderful addition to any family. Toast has received his first puppy vaccinations and is chipped. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age, at our cost. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Cate! Cate is a sweet Chi mix who is loving and fun to have around.  Cate has done well living in an adult only foster home with a middle aged Jindo as a calm, quiet companion.  She does well on a leash and enjoys investigating as she goes on walks.  Cate is eager to please and loves to cuddle with her person on a chair or sofa.  She is also happy to hang out on her bed in her fosters office with her favorite teddy during working hours.  Cate is initially wary of new people and slow, gentle introductions are advised.  She rarely barks and only as a protective response to a visitor at the door, or new human or canine encounter on walks.  Cate responds well to voice commands and is trainable. She is also food motivated.   Because of her small size and fear of quick or noisy movements, Cate would do well in a calm, adult only household, especially one with another dog who can teach her the “rules of the house” and participate in appropriate non-aggressive play.  Cate is happy to cuddle with other pets if they are gentle and receptive.  Cate is a curious girl and likes to go for walks. She needs this regular exercise. She does have an interest in squirrels and other furry animals so she can't live in a home with cats. Older kids are best for her (over 10). Cate is house trained and sleeps in her kennel at night with her favorite blanket and toy for company.  She will alert by scratching on the sides when she needs to go potty in the middle of the night.  She has not been left in her kennel for long periods during the day during her initial stay with her foster as her potty needs are a little unpredictable at this stage of her foster care. Cate will be vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Cheer! Little Cheer arrived with 3 siblings and they are all adorable! They did not have a great start in life but are now doing very well in their foster homes.  From his foster: Cheer is a confident, playful little guy with a big personality. He’s more rambunctious than his brother Toast and loves to be in charge, often taking on the role of both leader and protector. His fun-loving energy is balanced by a sweet, affectionate nature. Cheer is currently working on potty training, and he does great with it—no fuss at all. He enjoys full-on playtime with his brother and is always happy to settle down and rest once he’s worn himself out. This little boy adores people. Cheer eagerly wags his tail when picked up and soaks up all the attention he can get. At bedtime, he sleeps soundly through the night in a crate with his brother, without any whimpering, until morning. Cheer gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including senior pups much larger than himself. With his playful spirit, loving heart, and easygoing temperament, Cheer would make a fantastic addition to a loving family. Cheer has received his first puppy vaccinations and is chipped. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age, at our cost. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Bubbly! Sweet Bubbly and her siblings are so adorable! They are little Chihuahua/Dachshund mixes (we think) and will remain quite small as adults.  Little Bubbly is a bit timid at first but is doing great in her foster home. She adores following her foster around the house and LOVES all toys especially ones that squeak!  She gets along great with her two larger foster brothers and loves to play with them. She is still a pup so she is working on potty training and basic commands - she sleeps through the night and is on a great play/napping schedule during the day! She is the goofiest pup and has her fosters constantly laughing at her zoomies, silly leaps and spunky personality. Once she is done playing she loves to snuggle up with her people under the blankets! We know whoever adopts her will be just as in love as they are!  Bubbly will do best in a home with another dog to pal around with. Kids over 8.  She has received her first puppy vaccines and is chipped. She will be spayed between 8-12 months at our cost. Her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Croquette! This tiny munchkin came to us with her three siblings. They did not have a great start in life but are all safe in a foster home now and doing very well.  Croquette is a small breed mix puppy, only around 3 months old. She will remain fairly small as an adult. She is a sweet and funny little girl, a bit on the timid side as she learns to navigate the world. She would do best with another small dog in the home; that kind of social facilitation will help her blossom.  From her foster mom: Croquette is a curious, smart little pup with a big personality in a compact package. She loves her toys, enjoys playful zoomies followed by cozy naps, and is happiest staying close to her people even joining video calls. At night, she prefers not to sleep alone and would love to share a bedroom or bed with her person. Croquette is just a puppy and needs all the basic training - potty training, leash walking, spending some short times alone etc. She will need a family dedicated to teaching her these things and to commit to properly socializing her as she grows into adulthood. Due to her very small size, we prefer to place her with a family with older kids (over 8) only. She has received her first puppy vaccinations and is chipped. She will be spayed between 8-12 months of age, at our cost. Her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
