NAME: Gouda   AGE/GENDER: <3yr, Female   BREED: Chihuahua   TEMPERAMENT: Sweet, sassy, cuddly   WEIGHT: 9lbs   HOUSE TRAINING: Good   CRATE TRAINING: Good   OTHER DOGS: Good   CATS: Good   CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older   ADOPTION DONATION: $550    HEALTH: Gouda is spay/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines.   Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care.    HISTORY: Gouda came from an overcrowded shelter in California. We are excited to find her a great forever family here in WA!   NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Gouda is a sweet, silly pup with spunky energy.    She is both playful and snuggly, but is also able to entertain herself- especially in her own square of sun in a fluffy bed. She does get along well with other small dogs (don't know about big ones) and she does enjoy playing. Gouda plays a bit rough but not inappropriately- and she would probably enjoy another dog, though it's not required. She can play fetch too!   She is an alert barker when someone comes to the door, but doesn't bark excessively otherwise and sleeps quietly in a crate or playpen. She can be a bit excited when meeting people or dogs on leash, so she needs to be ignored initially and then she will curiously go over and lick the new person's hand and be friends (<10 mins). As well, she would benefit from general obedience training but she understands no and is pretty responsive.    She is doing well with housebreaking and hasn't had any accidents, though she may not tell you she has to go. In our home, we take the dogs out consistently because not everyone is as good as she!   Gouda has lived with cats and she isn't interested in the cat anymore. If your cat was interested, she would likely play with them as she would a dog- so she can certainly cohabitate with them whether ignoring/ coexisting or actually playing.   Gouda is a little intimidated by the camera so it's hard to capture her sweetness and her really pretty eyes. She has gorgeous brown eyeliner and it makes her even more soulful!   In all, Gouda is a young, sweet and would make someone very happy! She really is a lovable girl and if we were not career fosters in no need of another dog at this time, we would keep her ;) She's a real gem.       All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup!   ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes (or partnering pet stores) where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing and same day adoption. Due to the volunteer run structure and decentralized/ virtual  nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals. If you are interested in one of our Adoptable Roadies, please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application (the auto-responder also has a link to our application). We will work toward getting you approved as an adopter so that we can set a time for you to meet your new best friend! Motley Zoo also runs "Rock Star Treatment Dog Daycare" in Redmond, WA where proceeds from this service, help support our rescue's vet budget- however, this is NOT a shelter. For more information about daycare or training, check out www.rockstartreatment.org. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for more information! Thanks for considering adoption- we look forward to helping you find your best match in a furry friend. Rock on- The Motley Zoo Crew September 20, 2023, 10:00 pm

Story
Meet a timid lady Bombom🩷(bom 봄 means spring in Korean) Even though she is still wary of people, she is getting better little by little. Bombom is learning to get adapted to spending time with her foster and foster family inside the house. She has not tried to walk outside yet. *Separation anxiety: A home camera was installed in the house to see Bombom when the foster family went outside, and Bombom she was waiting and missing her foster family. *Potty-training: Bombom mostly stays indoors and can perfectly go in the center of the potty pad!💯 * Energy Level (1~10): Level 2 * Socialization -People: Curious about people but still scared. When her fam approach her, she tends to step backward. Still gets nervous and flinches when someone tries to touch her but doesn’t move away from her spot. She’ll take treats if her family is holding them. Once in a while, she approaches her foster and the family first! She can get nervous and tremble if she makes eye contact with human strangers. She moves away when someone suddenly comes at her. -Dogs: She gets along with the foster's dog. *She's still scared of Bombom’s surroundings and everything in the world. To protect herself, she “growls” but doesn’t show other aggressive behavior. When Bombom learns to build up trusting relationships with people and there are more enjoyable things than scary things in the world, it will be a great help for her to adapt to a new environment! *Bark: Doesn’t bark at all. *Is possible to bathe her but Bombom is still scared and uncomfortable with bathing and tries to move away.

Story
Look at this precious pup! Yang mal came to the shelter in Korea with her siblings. With the sweltering heat and risk of infection at the shelter, Adogs rescued the pups urgently. Thanks to her foster family who reached out to her, she is getting so much love at her foster home. We are looking for a forever family that will watch over Yang mal's growth with love and affection! 🙏🏻 * She may need a basic puppy training as she is still a puppy. * It is difficult to predict her shedding and size as her parents are unknown. * Potty-training: Self-learned indoor potty! Does great on pad. 😁 💟 Personality / Characteristics * Keywords: #Energizer #lovespeople * Energy Level (1~10): Lv.7 * No particular reaction to strangers. May be slightly afraid but does well without any sudden surprises. * Lovebug that loves foster sister and brother! 🥰She gets along well, even rolling around physically with them! 🤣 * Barks when she needs something but getting better! * Only been on nose walks as she hasn’t been fully vaccinated yet. * Desensitized to vacuum noises! * Seems to be scared of baths 😢 * Gets carsick for rides over 30 minutes. 10-15 minutes is fine. * Has a bit of shedding. * Masted ‘sit’, ‘lie down’, ‘paw’! Practicing ‘turn’. * Favorites: fluffy stuffed toy, crinkly plastic bag, chewing on plastic.

Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 3 years old & 21 lbs & is perhaps a dachshund & chihuahua mix, (chiweenie), male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Gapy has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gapy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gapy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gapy has an adoption fee of $895 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Dobby is a fun loving puppy looking for that special home to love him like family! His mom, Kip, who is also up for adoption, was found on the streets and within a week of being in foster she had two tiny puppies. Dobby adores his mom and would love to go to a home with her but can also go to the perfect home of his very own. He requests a home where he has a secure fence to play in. He also said he would love a home where he can snuggle in bed with his people. Dobby almost didn't have a happy ending but his mom was saved just in time so we want to make sure that he has a forever home that will spoil and care for him like their own child. Dobby does need work on his potty training but is used to a crate. Dobby was born on 2/26/23 and is currently about 7 lbs. and almost 5 months old. His mom is 7 lbs as well but we have no idea who the dad is. **Dobby is neutered and ready for adoption. He is vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in his foster home. His adoption fee is $600 and that includes his transport from Texas. He is ready to find his family to complete his transformation. If our sweet boy sounds like a perfect match for your family, please email us at pawhuggers@gmail.com for more information or to complete an adoption application please go to www.pawhuggers.org, hover over the Adoptables tab and then click on Adoption Application.
