Ben and Jerry were found wandering the streets in Midway City by a kind gentleman who corralled them and brought them to AALOC. They are brothers and are completely bonded so they cannot be separated. If you are looking for a pair of dogs as an addition to your family, Ben and Jerry would be just the right double scoop of love. Ben and Jerry are very young Dachshund mix dogs, full of life and affection. They are small in size, about 15 pounds each, and they love to walk and play together. They are housebroken and play well with other dogs. Overall they are very well-behaved young dogs available for adoption by a loving family. Please submit an application to adopt Ben and Jerry at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Ben and Jerry and get to know them a bit. Donation of $165 per dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    ***Courtesy Post*** How can you resist this short chunky guy!! Tron is a 7 year old male (neutered) pitbull/dachshund mix black/white. Tron is good with kids, dogs and cats. Tron is a friendly and playful dog he enjoys a good back scratch and sitting in the pool and occasionally taking a swim on the hot days. He is active when he wants to play if not he is ok with just lounging around. He enjoys going for walks and exploring new sceneries. He will go for hikes, but tends to get tired after a few miles due to his shorter legs. He enjoys hard to chew toys since the softer ones he will take apart easily. Tron is also kennel trained and is very alert when someone walks to the front door.Tron is looking for an amazing forever home! We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day.  Please visit our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    July 21, 2024, 1:15 pm

Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Brandy is a 5 year old, smooth red, mini Dachshund. She’s a small girl weighing 10 pounds. Brandy is very shy and timid in new situations. She needs a patient family that will show her there is nothing to be scared of. She is fine with other dogs, sorry no cats or kids. Brandy is still learning the ropes of her foster home, but she is adjusting well. Brandy is crate trained and she has learned the doggie door. Brandy is very treat motivated, so that has helped her with training. She has also decided she loves the hand that holds the treats, so that’s help with her fear of new people. Brandy is ready to start her new life as a cherished family member.  Brandy‘s adoption fee: $450 We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Finn is a stunning 6 year old, longhair red, mini Dachshund. Finn looks bigger because he has so much hair but he weighs 12 pounds. Finn has luxurious locks! Finn can be shy and timid in new situations, but quickly warms up. Finn loves to go for walks around the neighborhood. He is gaining confidence and loves learning new things. Finn is learning basic obedience, like sit, down and stay. Finn is fine with other dogs, sorry not cats or small kids for Finn. Finn is very treat motivated, so he is learning that people have yummy treats and that makes them alright. Finn is crate trained, and loves a big fluffy bed in his crate. He seeks his crate out like it is his safe spot. Finn has quickly learned the doggie door and loves the freedom to go outside and lay out on the grass for hours. If you do not have a doggie door Finn will go to the door as his way of asking to go outside. He really enjoys the outdoors, but loves to be inside with his people as well. Finn is making up for his many years of living outside, so when he finds a lap, he does not like to give it up. If Finn has doggie siblings in the home, they cannot be the jealous type. Finn needs to learn that there is enough love to go around, and in time he will. Once he knows you are his family for life, he will settle in and stop hogging all the attention.  Finn is ready to start his new life as a cherished family member.    Finn's adoption fee: $450We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit.
