Ben and Jerry were found wandering the streets in Midway City by a kind gentleman who corralled them and brought them to AALOC. They are brothers and are completely bonded so they cannot be separated. If you are looking for a pair of dogs as an addition to your family, Ben and Jerry would be just the right double scoop of love. Ben and Jerry are very young Dachshund mix dogs, full of life and affection. They are small in size, about 15 pounds each, and they love to walk and play together. They are housebroken and play well with other dogs. Overall they are very well-behaved young dogs available for adoption by a loving family. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Ben and Jerry and get to know them a bit. She is a small gal weighing 8 pounds. Sweet sweet sweet!! There is nothing bad we can say about Lily. She is the best little girl. She loves everyone, she thinks everyone is her new best friend. She is a snuggle bug, and loves attention. She enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. She would be a perfect RV companion. Lily may have had some not so great treatment in her past, so she can be scared when she does not know you and you pick her up. Once she knows and trusts you, she is completely fine with you picking her up. She just needs a little reassurance that you will not hurt her. She doesn’t like to be left alone for long hours, but when she is you will find her snuggling in her fluffy bed. Lily LOVES to sleep in bed next to you, snuggled up so closely, or she will reluctantly sleep on a nice cozy dog bed on the floor. If you have an empty lap looking for a sweet little dog to fill it, Lily is your girl. D’Artagnan (dar-tan-yun) or Artie is a very sweet guy. He seems to not have had the best care in his past. He had scarring on his face, and hair loss. He now eats quality food and gets fish oil supplements. He will soon shine! Artie is a busy guy. He always has something to do, usually playing with a ball or a squeaky toy. His favorite toy is a squeaky ball. He well throw it and roll it by himself for hours. He gets along great with other dogs. He is crate trained, and is working on his house training. We think he was an outdoor dog, so this is something we are working on. He loves to sleep in the big bed, under the covers, like most dachshunds. Artie weighs 14 pounds. He would be best with older children. Kiki is a 12 lb., 3-year-old sweet girl. She came to us pregnant and in need of a safe place to deliver and take care of her puppies. All her puppies are in their forever homes and now it's her turn. She is low key and shy at first meeting. She is learning leash walking and doing well but in need of some continued training. She loves to play with toys and all her buddies at our rescue facility. She will make a great little companion doggie. As with all our dogs we highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure proper training. This super sweet girl is looking for her forever home. The adoption fee is $400 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). Dodger and his siblings were born on January 2, 2024. They were born to momma Tofu a Dachshund mix. Tofu came to us after receiving a plea for rescue to save her while pregnant in a high kill shelter. The puppies have been raised with our rescue and are happy, healthy, playful and social little puppies. We are not sure on the Dad/Dad's, but by their looks and size they look Maltese, Chihuahua?  These sweet pups are looking for their forever homes. Because of their small size no small children or large breed dogs please.  As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $650 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed).
