The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org Sonny is a gorgeous, 3 year old Standard Dachshund. Sonny is a true Standard weighing 27 pounds. Sonny came from a home where he wasn‘t socialized with the outside world. Since coming to the rescue, he is learning how to be a good canine citizen. He was kept outdoors or in a pen only, so he did not know what it’s like to be included as part of the family. Now he loves sleeping in the big bed at night, going on walks and car rides, playing with toys and just hanging out with people. Sonny is fine with other dogs. He was never introduced to other dogs until coming to rescue, so he is learning how to play. lol Sonny is crate trained, but gives you the big puppy dog eyes at bedtime trying to convince you to let him sleep with you. Sonny really loves attention, but needs to realize he can share attention with the other dogs. Sonny is a wonderful boy, and is looking for a home that will include him as part of the family. Sonny’s adoption fee: $500We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. Flounder and his siblings were born on approximately 3/19/2025. These puppies came from a box that was dumped in a field and were found by someone who lived nearby. The puppies have been raised with our rescue since then and are now super happy, healthy, playful and social little puppies. These sweet puppies are now ready for their forever homes. As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $650 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). Our animals can be seen by appointment only after approved application process. Lucky Zero was born on 10/14/2024 he weighs around 12 lbs. He was born along with his siblings to Momma Cindy a white Dachshund mix. The guess is dad was a Chihuahua. He was adopted by a family who unfortunately could no longer keep him because of a family members health issue's. He is a super sweet bot, walks great on leash, likes to play and is super social with everyone he meets. This beautiful sweet boy is looking for his forever family. As always we do recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog.
