Rescued as a stray. This little guy is cute and low maintenance - meaning he's not a demanding dog and gets along with other members of the pack, same size and never causes trouble. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Ben and Jerry were found wandering the streets in Midway City by a kind gentleman who corralled them and brought them to AALOC. They are brothers and are completely bonded so they cannot be separated. If you are looking for a pair of dogs as an addition to your family, Ben and Jerry would be just the right double scoop of love. Ben and Jerry are very young Dachshund mix dogs, full of life and affection. They are small in size, about 15 pounds each, and they love to walk and play together. They are housebroken and play well with other dogs. Overall they are very well-behaved young dogs available for adoption by a loving family. Grover was wandering around Garden Grove when a kind neighbor picked him up and brought him to AALOC for safekeeping and to help Grover find his owner. Unfortunately, Grover wore no collar, had no tags nor was microchipped, so even after repeated attempts to locate his owner the AALOC team was unsuccessful. Grover is a dachshund mix with a longer body and shorter legs. His ears are shorter than a full breed dachshund, more like a terrier. He has a smooth, short brown coat which will require minimum brushing and bathing, brown eyes and a black nose, and a personality all his own. He loves to cuddle and play, and his favorite pastime is walking, second only to gnawing on his chew toys. Getting Grover to eat is no problem whatsoever: he loves food! Grover is currently in foster care but is ready to find his forever home. Please apply to adopt Grover at www.AALOC.org.
