Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Wally is a 3-year-old Isabella Standard Dachshund weighing 20 pounds, and he’s ready to find his forever family. After spending a few weeks wandering the streets as a stray, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan brought him to safety and did everything possible to locate his owner. Sadly, no one came forward—so now Wally is starting a brand-new chapter. Wally is an affectionate boy who truly loves his people. He forms strong bonds and can be a little protective of those he cares about most, making him a loyal companion. He does have a strong Dachshund personality, so he is looking for an experienced owner. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playtime with his canine friends. Wally would do best in a home without cats or small children, where he can feel secure and relaxed. He is crate trained and settles in nicely, especially when he knows he’s safe. This charming little guy is ready to hang up his backpack and running shoes and settle into the forever home he deserves. Wally is looking for a loving family who will keep him safe, cherished, and loved for the rest of his days. Could that family be yours? Wally’s adoption fee: $500We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. Story
Reaching out in hope you would be able to assist rehoming two cute pups! We’re trying to help a close friend who is very sad to have to rehome her pups…we’re currently at our max with pets or we’d take them. The white pup is Sadie (super sweet), the black one is Molly (sweet too, the leader of the pack), and they are a bonded pair who are 5 years old. They weigh about 20 lbs each and are both Weiner dog mixes. They’re potty trained, walk on leash, like to play with small toys, love to cuddle up on the sofa, and watch movies. When their current Mom must work outside the home a few times a week, they stay in the primary bedroom (like a large crate to them), cuddling up on the bed and looking out the window. They unfortunately have not been spayed, but we will cover the cost of the procedure and any care needs (food, etc.) or donate to your rescue until they’re able to find their next loving family. They need a new home this week

These pups are in Anaheim, California too!

Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Wilbur is a 2-year-old Basset Hound with a big heart and an even bigger personality. His family loved him but realized they didn’t have the time a young dog needs, so they began searching for a rescue to help him find the right home. Wilbur was in Mexico and needed veterinary care, and a wonderful foundation reached out to us to see if we could take him in. We happily said yes! Wilbur has now received the care he needed and is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever family. True to his breed, Wilbur is a typical hound—always cheerful and not shy about vocalizing his feelings. He loves to “talk” and will happily let you know what’s on his mind. Wilbur adores other dogs and would love a home with a playful canine companion. He also loves people and is a total snuggle bug who enjoys affection and quality time with his humans. Wilbur is an all-around wonderful dog who’s ready to give lots of love. He’s hoping to find an equally wonderful family to call his own. Wilbur‘s adoption fee: $600We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit.
