Meet Bilbo, a friendly, smart, and cozy 10-year-old senior acquired from No Kill LA (NKLA). He is peaceful, friendly to all teens and adults, and loves attention. Though he has no interest in catching a ball or playing with dog toys, he will bask in the sun while you work or tend to household duties. He is extremely well-mannered: he does not bite or scratch and will not tear up clothing or furniture. He enjoys being near his people for some attention, but is equally happy taking quiet alone time (especially in his favorite crate at night). He is highly food-motivated, making further training easy. Why Rehoming: We recently welcomed a newborn with additional needs. I simply don't have the time to dedicate to him and refuse to let him be neglected. Ideal Home: We seek a quiet, comfortable home where someone can offer him a steady presence, comfort, and the occasional snuggle, respecting his need for peaceful downtime.

Story
We rescued Zoey from the Long Beach Harbor after someone abandoned her and her siblings there nine years ago. Zoey just turned 9 this past November and is a shy, 8-lb Dachshund mix. Zoey is fully potty trained and does well with outdoor grass and soil, as well as indoor pee pads. She responds well to her name and loves being carried and petted throughout the day. She is food driven and loves fresh cucumber, pear, apple, carrot and chicken treats. She does not enjoy long walks, anything over 10 or 15 minutes I need to carry her back. Zoey is a little shy, calm and unbothered by other dogs or children, not sure about cats. She does not bark at them and generally keeps to herself. She likes to chase squirrels, opposums or birds when she sees them outside. I am looking for someone who can spend more time and give her the attention she deserves. A senior citizen or someone seeking a small companion dog would be ideal. Zoey is a mellow, affectionate, low-energy, and cozy dog.

She is a 1 year old, playful girl. She is super energetic, loves to play with my kids. She was one of the puppies from a friend’s litter. I am looking for a loving home for her. She has lots of energy, needs a family who is patience, she can be scared of new people but does warm up very fast, needs with lots of love. Unfortunately, my new home doesn’t allow animals and I can’t accommodate her. Looking for the best home possible. She is pad trained, loves to play with toys.
