12/30/25 I'm so sad no one has asked about me. I'm really a good boy. I don't know why I'm not good with men. When Act2Pups rescued me from an outside cage during the winter I guess it was a man that left me outside. I listen well and I do what I'm told. I'm a pleaser for sure and I would just love to please Y.O.U. I've been here before...yes three years ago I was adopted and I thoroughly enjoyed my person. Unfortunately she fell and broke her hip and couldn't take care of me any more. I'm not terribly sad, but I do miss having a person of my own. I prefer females, apparently men have not been nice to me in the past. If you know my breed you know I'm pretty strong headed. I get along with all my housemates, both girls and boys. I like to take walks, I walk pretty well on a leash. I love meal time, so be careful I don't get too large! I'm ready for that forever home....calling all dachshund lovers!

A GREAT COMPANION: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 21 lbs. Hi, my name’s Cherish! I came to Mostly Mutts with another doggie friend from animal control who has already been adopted and now it’s my turn! I am grateful for the love and attention I am receiving in my wonderful foster home and I look forward to finding my very own family soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: Though I came to Mostly Mutts with another dog – and we got along fine – I have been a bit reactive toward other dogs, so I may need to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet while with Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a sweet and somewhat reserved girl who arrived scared and a bit unsure. I went to a foster home, which has helped me open up more and become ‘a wonderful dog’, as my foster says. I have short spurts of playfulness, though my true calling seems to be patrolling my surroundings – always on alert for what may be behind the fence or out the window - lol. I’m affectionate, but I am also quite busy with my self-appointed patrolling job, so the cuddle sessions are often short. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I don’t know any commands right now, but I am treat motivated, and – if I am as serious about training as I am about overseeing my foster home - I think you can teach me some great doggie commands. / I’ve had excellent crate manners in my foster home. / My foster says my potty manners are pretty good at about 90% – just make sure I am taken out immediately when I go to the door or have just woken up. A good, consistent schedule is key to mastering my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like hanging out watching the world go by - in fact, if there is a window, I want to be looking out of it at all times. On the back of the couch snuggled in a comfy blanket is my idea of the perfect perch. I like my walks and will wag my tail for a treat along the way. / I did NOT like the bath sprayer during my shelter bath and held to the side of the tub for dear life. Other than not being wild about other dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Zelle bell is looking for a loving family to be rehomed! She is a beautiful 6 year old standard dachshund, with a goofy and sweet personality. I am looking to rehome her to someone dedicated to have the time for her, as unfortunately life gets in the way and i do not have the resources in my life to keep her. Although she is a very loving cuddle bug not all dogs are perfect and one of her flaws is being hyper reactive, she has never hurt anyone or any dog, but walking her can be difficult and having guests over with her loud barking, but that maybe easy for someone to manage with patience and time. One detail to also be aware of is because she is a dachsund she is fragile. A few months ago she got diagnosed with an ivdd flare up in her spine, but with 2 months of bed rest and meds she made a full recovery!!She is completely back to herself. Pls dont hesitate to ask me for more details about her if you are interested, i just want her to go to the most loving home, she deserves the best!

Midnight ended up at animal control after his owners abandoned him at a clinic. He was held for a while but with so many dogs he ended up on the euthanasia list. Can you imagine? This little guy is a very nice dog with a great temperament. He loves to hang with his people way more than the other dogs at his foster home. He appears to prefer the company of the females in the foster home pack. His foster family believe he is mixed with corgi or other herding breed because he has a habit of jumping and mouthing to get attention. Midnight is not rally a vocal dog. But when he has something to say it is in a a "Big Dog" bark but the good news is he's not a huge barker unless he's excited about something. Midnight sleeps quietly in a crate like a gentleman. Midnight is completely potty trained. He no longer takes any medicine for anything but when he did he took it like a champ. He loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you to throw again. He loves to go for loooooooong leash walks. He needs a home with people that will dedicate time to his daily walks. This guy absolutely loves to explore the back yard and will definitely need a fenced yard. He is working on waiting but still is a BIG Door Darter. He is very excited to GO, GO, GOI! A home with adults and everyone over 16yrs is needed so he doesn’t sneak out past a kiddo. ✅ Sweet guy ✅ loves to walk & play with toys ✅ crate trained 🚫 door dasher so no young kiddos ✅ housetrained ✅ smart and eager to learn If you are interested in adopting Midnight, you can fill out an application right on our website!
