Story
10 year old super sweet senior. Looking for a quiet companion to hang out with. Enjoys car rides, lab sitting, long movies and snuggles. She enjoys her food and treats but due to age and breed, she will need to maintain a healthy weight, so no people snacks. Victoria has already lost 4 lbs with diet and walking around the yard. She has been placed on supplements to help her joints as extra weight is not good on old joints.  adoption fee $300 fully vetted: Victoria came to Rescue already spayed, She is now up to date on vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. We started her on prevention, de wormed and flea control. Her senior bloodwork came back with elevated liver enzymes so we followed up with a test to rule out cushings. That test came back good allowing her to be cleared for a much needed dental. Victoria had 10 teeth extracted on her recent dental. Victoria has 2 lipoma (fatty masses) on her abdomen. There is no need to remove as long as they are not causing Victoria any discomfort. To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##1999637##

Story
Meet Minnie!!! Are you in search of a devoted furry friend to bring warmth and joy into your home? Look no further than Minnie, a delightful ~7-year-old mix with a heart of gold! Minnie is the epitome of sweetness and loyalty. She adores human company and thrives on being close to her loved ones, seeking out cuddles and affection at every opportunity. Whether you're enjoying a quiet day at home or embarking on an exciting adventure, Minnie is by your side, ready to share in the fun and excitement. Despite her small size (aprox 30 lbs), Minnie is surprisingly versatile. While she's perfectly content to lounge around all day laying in a sun-spot or curled up in her bed, she's also up for a challenging hike, keeping pace with you every step of the way. Her adaptable nature makes her the perfect companion for any activity, whether it's a leisurely stroll or a more adventurous outing. She knows all the essential commands like sit, stay, lay down, come, and more, making her a joy to have around. Minnie loves nothing more than a lively game of fetch. She's also a skilled swimmer who enjoys cooling off on hot summer days. When it comes to toys, Minnie has a particular fondness for plushies, though she may dissect them to extract the squeaker—so stuffing-free options are definitely her preference. Minnie may be initially standoffish with strangers, wary of other dogs, and has some food bowl protectiveness issues. However, with patience and understanding, she quickly warms up to new people, forming strong bonds with friends who soon become like family. Sadly, Minnie's family relocated to China and was unable to take her along. She is now seeking a loving home where she will be cherished and adored for the wonderful companion she is. adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##2047812##

Story
My name is Holden, but most often my foster family calls me "Mr. Handsome" or "Sweet Boy." I am both of those things, if I do say so myself. One thing you need to know about me is that I had a back problem so now I cannot use my rear legs. This is VERY common in dachshunds. However, it doesn't slow me down one bit. This gorgeous lover boy is a gentle soul with a bark that sounds like bubbles and he’s also a very talented squeaky toy musician. Sometimes foster ma has to confiscate it so she can work! Other than that he’s a quiet guy who loves to cuddle, take sun naps outside on the deck and beg for dinner like any other dog. I may not walk like other dogs do, but I sure do have a happy life and a happy attitude. My foster mom can teach you to take care of me, it's not difficult. It's not any more work than any other dog is, it's just a bit different. Here's what you get when you adopt me: bedroom eyes, soft long hair in a beautiful mahogany color, cuddles galore, and a constant companion. I am a very good and gentle boy! I don't bark very much, but when I do, my foster ma says I sound like I am underwater. I have no idea what that means, but I'll demonstrate when we meet. I need a home with lots of toys, snuggly blankets, and someone willing to deal with a little poop once in a while. My bladder needs to be expressed manually, but you just squeeze my tummy and out it comes. No biggie. Takes 20 seconds and it's super easy to learn. I love meeting new people, and I am very friendly to everyone i meet. If you are interested in adopting Holden, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform2.shtml . Holden 's adoption fee is $350.00. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Holden will go to his new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook

Story
How delicious is a dapple? Vince is no exception to that hard and fast rule. This boy has personality in SPADES! He is such a cool little wiener dog with a curious way of seeing the world. His previous owners loved him but did not have the means to care for him properly when he suffered an IVDD back injury. Once he came into DREAM, we took Vance in right away to see our specialist vet, who performed surgery on three ruptured discs. Since then, he's gone through physical therapy and his foster mama is a pro at helping him through all of his stretches and exercises, and short of getting him a Pilates reformer, he's gotten the works for sure. While the surgery and therapy has helped him greatly, he will need to be expressed to help him to go potty. When kept on a schedule of expressing, he’s house trained . To help him get around, Vance has a new set of wheels and he absolutely loves rolling around exploring all the world has to offer. He's a friendly little muppet who loves his people and has the gumption to thrive no matter his circumstances. It's impossible to be around him without smiling. If you are interested in adopting Vance, you can fill out an application right on our website. Go to our online adoption application. Vance's adoption fee is $400. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Vance will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. Story
Bogie is about the cutest, sweetest little pudding pot you've ever laid eyes on. Bogie is the whole package of an adorable little long haired solid black (except for a little white on his chest) chihuahua. He's 14 lbs of puppy energy and around 18 months old, just a boy in dog years. And two words for you...potty trained.HALLELUJAH – can I get an AMEN? This little guy was found running down the interstate when a good Samaritan saw him. She enlisted the help of her husband and after a lot of work, they were able catch him and take him to a vet. After a thorough examination, x-rays showed that he previously had a broken leg that had healed back well. On a return visit to the vet, with more extensive x-rays, the vet determined that he needed a total hip replacement after his growth plates had closed. So, on January 9th he got a brand new hip. After 12 weeks of crate rest, he was ready to romp, play, chase his foster siblings. He like to patrol the backyard for chipmunks and squirrels. He enjoys chasing birds, butterflies, and play fetch with the ball. Often, when he goes out, he gets the zoomies and circles the yard 3 or 4 times before going potty. This affectionate little guy enjoys going for walks on a leash, wrestling with his siblings, playing tug with a rope and all the lap time he can get. He is learning that car rides are fun but highway noises still startle him. Bogie-boy is not a big kisser but he loves to be touched by his family (especially having you rub those gorgeous ears). This little guy likes his crate, or being free to gaze out the windows. Bogie thrives on routine, as most dogs do. He would do best with a fur-sibling and a fenced in yard to run free. Whomever ever gets this lad, will have a friend for life. He is smart, curious, playful and sweet. What more could a person want? If you're interested in sweet baby Bogie, don't wait to fill out an application. If you are interested in adopting Bogie, you can fill out an application right on our website!
